"Hey Josh, wanna tell my mom? It's okay if not but I had to ask" I said, nervously "Will your mom accept it?" He asked "Yes" I said "Then yes. I do want to tell your mom" He smiles at me
Tyler: mom, you can pick us up now Mom: okay! What did you do? Tyler: I'll tell you when we get in the car 🙃 Mom: okay, love you! Tyler: love you too!
"What are we gonna tell her?" I ask nervously "Uh, whatever you wanna tell her" Josh says "Should we tell her we kissed?" I asked Josh raised his eyebrows and shrugged "Okay, we won't tell her that part." I say "Okey" Josh says
(A/N: just heard a car crash 🙃. It wasn't that bad because they drive away but the hit a pole. Pole still in tact but at 3am, hearing tires screech against the road is nerve racking)
"Are you excited?" I asked "Yes" Josh said "So am I. I'm also nervous" I said "So, Tyler. wanna go on a date with me on Saturday?" Josh Asked "like, a DATE?" I asked "Yes, tyjo, a date" Josh said "YEAH!" I shouted, jumping up from the swing Josh smiled at me "What?" I asked "You're cute" He said "Am not!" I shouted "Are too!" He said He got up from the swing and walked over to me and pulled me into a hug "I'm so happy I can do this now" He signed, after pulling out of the hug "I am too" I said. We both went back and sat on the swings. I grabbed his hand and laced out fingers together. We swing in silence (only, a good kind of silence. not like, sitting in silence because. your car radio is gone) We heard a car stop right outside the woods. We grabbed our school stuff and walked to the car. we both sat in the back so we could be next to each other. "I'll translate for your mom" Josh signed "Okay" I said "So, what did you guys do?" She asked and Josh signed "Uhm, we talked and swing and did homework!" I said. "That's bland" Josh translated. Him and I laughed. "I'll give her more details when I can see her reaction" I signed to Josh, and winked.
We pulled up to the house and walked in, kicking our shoes off. "So, mom. You didn't ask why we had homework on the first day?" I said to her "I more want to know what you guys talked about" She said "oh, not much. Josh and I admitted our mutual feelings for each other and we are gonna go on a date Friday after school" I said like it was nothing. My mom's jaw dropped "What! Who said it first! How did it happen! DETAILS" She screamed, forgetting to sign. Thanks gosh I had Josh translate while laughing. "I said it first." Josh said "You should hear how he said it. It was cheesy" I laughed to my mom "Whatever! I still said it!" Josh smiled at me "How'd you say it?!" My mom asked "He told me the park was beautiful and I said 'almost as beautiful as you' and then I told him our friend Brendon who had said that we should date was right and that I do admire and have feelings for Tyler" Josh explained "That's CUTE! But, y'all are dating now. Yes, you may still have sleepovers as long as you do nothing more than kiss! Lightly. Sweetly. Not heated. No dirty talk. No dirty business. But again, you can still sleep over since you guys are best frens" My mom said, making Josh blush a lot. "Yes ma'am" I jokingly saluted her "Josh, I need to talk to you. Privately" My mom said "It'll be okay. answer correctly, and you SHOULD come out a live. she's my mom though so no promises" I joked
JOSH'S POV: So far so good, right?
"Josh, Tyler is a sensitive kid" She started "You forget I was his best fren and still am" I said "You're right. But if you hurt him, I will actually murder you. Dead serious" She said "Be my guest. I wouldn't hurt him. He's important to me" I said "Correct answer. You won't have any funny business, correct?" "No. I won't skidoddle with your son, if that's what you mean" I say "Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Now tell me, date plans?" She asks "Take your cheesiest Pinterest date... Make it cheesier" I say "Okay, he specific" She said "I'm gonna take him to a movie then to Echo hill*." I said "OH! THAT'S AMAZING! ECHO HILL IS AN AMAZING DATE PLACE!" She screams "I know" I say "What movie?" She asks "Uhm, we're two guys. Take a wild guess" I say "NO!" she screams, knowing what movie I'm referring to "Yes" I say "HE WANTS TO SEE 'LOVE SIMON' SO BAD!" She yells "I know." I said "Okay well because you're perfect for my son, yes, I give you permission to date him" She says "Thanks" I said "Thank you. For making my son happy" She said
*ECHO HILL: a real place in Ohio. I live in Ohio. I've been to Echo hill. It's beautiful. I don't know if thats what it's called but I think it is. It has a pretty view of Kentucky and the Ohio River!
