Chapter 8

The rest of the week goes by in phases of Emmett and I, and people’s eyes on us at all times.

“Sky! Hey Girl! You have to come to my party this Friday, don’t worry my brother won’t be there. Please come!”

“Sure, I just have to tell Em…”

“No, I want you to come to my party and have some quality time with your best friend, without some guy latched on to you.” She interrupts my sentence.

I shake off that she said just some guy, but she is right. I haven’t spent time with Brooke for a long time, granted I will be spending time with her at a party, its better than nothing. I nod and give her a hug. I walk off to see Emmett talking to a guy whose name is Seth, I think. “Hey Emmett” I stride up to him and give him a kiss on the cheek. 

“Hey” He says as he wraps his arms around me.

“This is Seth. He invited us to a party on Friday, do you want to come?”

“It sounds fun, but my friend invited me to a party on Friday as well because she wanted to spend some time with me. She says I can’t invite anybody, which sucks. Maybe I can stop by that party later. So you can go, and I can drop by after or something, but we better go to class now or we will be late” I stop to catch a breath and look at Emmett’s friend, “It was nice to officially meet you Seth.” 

Friday comes around, its rainy and cold. I arrive at Brooke’s house and there is a slightly less amount of people at her house than usual. There is no need to knock on the door because no one can hear me, so I walk right in. Thirty minutes pass and everything is going fine, until I see a flash of Levi walking into the kitchen. I go to find Brooke.

“Even thought I am having a great time talking to you sorry to ruin the moment, but why the hell is Levi here when you said he wouldn’t be?”

“Oh yeah, about that, he talked to me and he said he is really sorry, I think you should give him another shot”

My head is spinning, she didn’t want to hang out with me, she wants to get me to go out with her brother again.

“No way! He cheated on me, and now I have moved on and dating someone else.”

“Come on, we both know you will be over this guy in two weeks. You have been dating Levi for years, you can’t ket that kind of chemistry go to waste”

“Unbelievable, well you can’t tell Levi that there is no chemistry between him and I anymore.”

I storm out before she comes up with anything to say, and also before Levi sees me. I get in my car and text Emmett, “Leaving now, can you text me the address? See you in a little while”

(I know these next few chapters will be short, but the next one is going to be one of my favorite chapters of the book so far, I hope you guys think so too.)
