"So what is with all the trophies?" Marcus asked

"Huh what u mean?" I asked him not wanting to answer the question

"The trophy case. It's filled with sports trophies with your name on a bit, but all the dates are from when you were younger.why did you stop playing and especially casting?" I was frozen by his concern.

"That's my business not yours to kno. So I would just shut up." I told him

"U don't need to kno everything"

"Ok " he replied

He took the ball from me. He shuffled it through his feet then he passed it to the back board. He caught it in mid air and shot it in mid air. It went in. I stopped in my tracks

"How do you kno that move." I turned and looked at him

"I was there when I created it with one of my best friends." He looked me straight in the eye.

"Y..o..u you are " I could feel the tears.

"Your Mega Marcus!!!!"

"Your moving?" I asked

"Marcus what happened to the bro promise?" Jake asked

"My dad got a new job." Marcus answered

"Can't you stay with your Grandma?" I asked

"No dad and grandma got in a fight 4 days before dad told us that we were going to move. " Marcus answered

"So this is good bye..." I whispered

"Don't worry Julie, we can talk and send emails and I will try to visit a lot." Marcus hugged me

"Dude your leaving me, now who am I suppose to do the Mega Marcus with on the Basketball Court." Jake asked

"I will never forget you guys" Marcus hugged us

"Bye we will miss you" me and Jake both said when he got In the car and left. We waved from behind. I was tearing up. "Bye"

I ran to give him a hug. He chuckled "I missed you to"

I rolled my eyes.I got out of the hug.

"One on One?"

"No are you mental! you just came out of the hospital. I am not ready to get in trouble with Jacob again. The first time me met again,I had a black eye!!!!"

I just laughed. "Jacob being Jacob."

"Let's go baby Eliot. It's time to play with aunty Julie " I picked up Eliot and took him to my room.

"Hi baby I am your aunt Julie. We are going to be best of friends. " He started smiling

"Yes we are." The more silly faces I made the more he laughed. We just played together like that for a whole hour until Mia found us. When she was about to take Eliot, he started crying

"See he only likes me " I said

"Jacob come here " Mia yelled

"What" Jacob walked in "get Eliot." Mia tried to contain her laughter

" Are you kidding me you can't even get your own child " Jacob was surprised

Right when he touched him, Eliot started to whine.

"What the- " Jacob was astonished

"Seeee" Mia pointed

"Your guys faces were hilarious. "I was laughing my head off "watch this"

"Come baby, come to aunty" when I picked him up he wasn't even crying or whining.

"See you just got parented by me " I was laughing so hard now

"Do you still have that book of promise we made when we were 7 years old?" Marcus asked sitting on my bed

"Yes I do" I went to go get them.

We opened one of them up.

We saw our first promise

"Yes you still are a true friend." I turned around and saw Marcus looking me straight in my eyes.

"But.... I could have helped him" I said

"But it wasn't written in your destiny to do that." He said " we are all going to die one day and his had to be that way. "

"Bu-" he covered my mouth

"Explain to me why he didn't die when he fell out the window on the second floor of his own house. Tell me why he didn't die when he ate a peanut by mistake. Explain why he didn't die when he cracked his head when he fell off the bed." He said "you can't explain can you ? ,because he wasn't meant to die then, he was meant to die in the middle of the ocean playing his favorite sport in the world."

"Thank you" I said

"Why " he asked

"For not leaving me to die on the road the day you hit me." I answered

"Well I didn't kno who you actually were in till I found out your name, but still I would never leave any one to die." He said

I hugged him. And we continued looking at the book, picture albums and old house videos.
