Jughead, Fangs, and Sweet Pea were all doing serpent stuff, so I decided to ask Heather to hang. Although it was awkward between her, Cheryl, and Toni, she seemed cool. "Hey Heather, it's Emily. The girl who's bedroom you came in." I said when she answered. "Yeah, I remember you. What's up?" She asked. "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today, just me and you?" I asked. "Yeah. That'd be great, I'll be over in thirty?" She said sounding happy. "Okay bye." "Bye." ———— Heather came over and I decided to show her one of my favorite spots to hang out at. It was an old house, that was abandoned a while back. When we entered it, she looked kinda hesitant. "It's okay, it's not haunted." I reassured her. It felt like we sat and talked in that house for what seemed like hours. Most of the topics were random, but eventually we got to something that I didn't really want to talk about. "So Heather, you date girls and guys?" I asked munching on a bag of chips. She nodded at me. "What about you?" "I've had a girlfriend, but nothing to serious though." "Oh. Cheryl and Toni really are perfect for each other aren't they?" She asked suddenly. "Uh, yeah I would like to say so." I said placing my hand on her shoulder. "But, there are plenty of fish in the sea." She sighed looking at her hands. "I know it's just, I feel like everyone always finds someone better than me. My mom dumped me for her boyfriend, my dad is off happily married with two kids in who knows where, now this." "Hey it's okay I'm still here." I said taking her hands. She smiled at me. "Thanks." She said. "What are friends for?" I said shrugging. "Come on let's go home." ————
