It was now October.

Three months had passed since the Muffin Man incident, the funerals had all gone and went, and nothing was the same it seemed to Morgan. Especially since the mass of her friends were killed off all during her birthday.

There was no more Britney and Skyler. The cute couple that you'd never really mind third wheeling it with. You could just feel the love radiating off of them.

There was no more Ben. He was always there whenever you needed a ride home or just a guy to help do things for you.

There was no more Maria. She would always be there whenever you needed a dirty minded friend to joke with. She was always clued into the latest gossip and news and was overall a really useful girl to know.

There was no more Shelby. The perfect friend that could actually keep secrets and would understand you. Whenever you needed to vent or just had to tell someone an amazing secret building up inside of you, she'd be there.

There was no more Robbie. The sweet, shy, down-to-earth guy that you would never admit to having feelings for. When in a good mood he would be there to joke around with. It was easy to feel comfortable and at home with him whenever you were hanging out. Never any tension.

There was no more Phoebe. The best friend that you've spent your entire life with and shared everything with, minus luck. She had fallen for an emo boy and had met her demise because of it. She was good and all, but very easily pressured into being bad. Just a normal girl in all honesty. She'd know how to make anything funny.

There was no more Neil. The smartest person you'd ever meet. Sure, sometimes he could get annoying or be a jerk, but the good always outnumbered the bad. Whenever you had a question or were feeling flirtatious, he would be the first person you hit up.

However, nobody missed Thomes. Everyone now regarded him as the Muffin Man, the killer. Just an emo boy that went insane and killed everybody, but could we really blame him?

He came from a weird family. His mother was uncaring and a stripper. His little sister was annoying, which most can relate to. He had no real friends. Of course somethings are going to annoy him and one day they all knew he was going to crack. The only person whoever had faith in him was Phoebe, but she scared him away in some respects.

Overall, really tragic.

Morgan was thinking about it the other day. The only person who went to Lake Victoria with her on her birthday who didn't get killed was Hunter. How did he fit into any of this?

Well, he fit into the whole theme of unrequited love equaling tragedy here. Phoebe loved Thomes, who had taken advantage of her and then killed her. Morgan had loved Neil, whose sexual orientation is stilll debated and is now deceased. Mrs.Russell would have loved for Morgan to marry Robbie, which isn't exactly a possibility anymore in this story.

And by this October after all that has happened, Hunter had fallen in love with Morgan. With both Neil and Robbie out of the way, he wouldn't look too stupid going after her. And lately she realized maybe it was time to come alive again.

School was in session again as it was the end of October, after all. It was one day in Geometry class when the subject of the Muffin Man was brought up again.

One kid said,"So what did one tree say to the other tree?"

"Uhhh," another began answering,"Gee-I'm-A-Tree. Hahaha, I get it, Geometry."

"No, it said 'I am the Muffin Man!'" And the whole class laughed except for Morgan and Hunter. The Muffin Man was definitely not a joke to them.

Suddenly, Hunter saw that Morgan had turned around in her seat to face him. They were always seated next to each other because of the alphabetical closeness of the last names Cooper and Day. Yes, there are totally correlations between who your friends are and your last names.
