Chapter 8

Nicos pov.:

Cora is a really strange and confusing person. A day ago she acted like this big satanic demon, but some minutes ago she looked so scared and helpless.

Why did that movie have such a big impact on her? She looked so....so empty when she left. But it can't be the horror movie, it just can't. Like she seems so uninterested when she talks about killing people and torturing them. It just has to be something else.

Actually why do I even care?!? I hate her! She's a horrible person and she does not care about anyone.

Victor shoves me a little "Hey Nico you look really absent" I shrug "I was just thinking about stuff"

I see how Gael leaves the basement and disappears.

Some minutes later Charlie comes "Hey guys I'm sorry but you have to go home now" The boys stand up and I grin at them "Bye guys" Xeno and Tadashi accompany them to the door while I go to my room since I have to finish an art project for college.

Gaels pov.:

I feel soooo bad right now since it was me who chose to watch saw. That horror movie is pretty rough for the first one.

The only problem is I can't find Cora. As I'm looking around in the house I see Charlie "Charlie wait! Can you help me real quick?" He nods "Sure"

I scratch the back of my neck and I grin nervously "You know where Cora is?" He sighs and I can see that he's thinking "I think she's in the garden. Behind the two warehouses is a place she really loves. She'll be there. Why are you asking?"

I look embarrassed at the floor "I did something and I want to apologise" He nods and walks away.

I go outside to the garden and I look for Cora behind the warehouses. I reach a beautiful little spot in the middle of a pine forest. Cora is sitting in the middle and
she's reading.

I lean against the trunk of a tree and I feel like I'm wayyy to deep in her personal space. I stutter "H-Hey Co-Cora" She looks up and puts her book down "Hey Gael. Hoe did you find me?" I shrug "Charlie told me" She nods and stands up and takes her book and her blanket.

She walks to me and looks into my eyes "Why did you come?" I try to see in her eyes what she's feeling but I just see a wall after wall. But hers are looking into my soul.

I blink twice and I stutter "I-I wanted t-to apologise" She looks at me confused "Why? You did nothing wrong?" I sigh "Yes I did. I chose the movie saw and I saw how you suffered when the movie ended"

She laughs loudly but it sounded so bitter "C'mon Gael of course I wasn't suffering because of the movie. It was not your fault" I look at her worried but I remain quiet.

She sighs "Lets get back to the mansion, it's getting dark" We walked silently next to each other to the house and she does not look at me. Without a word she walks to her room.

Coras pov.:

I don't want that Gael knows what happened during the movie. I just go to my room to avoid any human contact right now. I take a long shower and I think about every responsibility I have.

I have to decide if we are going to attack the al'afdal gang or not. I have to read the informs about the shipment from Japan and all the other stuff. Ugh and I have a chemistry quiz next friday! How the f am I going to finishing all that?!?!

Ok...Cora stop worrying.....You can do it.

I leave the shower and I put on a hoodie and some sweatpants and I go downstairs to the kitchen.
