Chapter 38: Please! I Beg You

Emma's POV:

     I really can't do this anymore. It hurts seeing Bridget and Zach together, holding hands and acting all lovey-dovey like a couple normally acts. She's not even his other half. I am. Zach still doesn't talk to me and he stopped talking to the rest of the guys as well as they had chosen me over him. I still feel very bad about them not talking though. I've apologized to them countless of times already but they said that it was never my fault and that I shouldn't stress too much about it. But deep down, I know that it hurts them to be apart from their bro. I mean, they're like always together. I would feel the exact same way if my best friend was no longer talking to me.

   So I decided that I should fix this because I am the cause of this whole thing anyways. I don't want the guys to lose their bro because of me. They've done so much for me in this time. The least I can do is to reunite them back with Zach. I don't care if Zach doesn't talk to me. I just want the guys to be happy again. I was walking to the cafeteria for lunch when I saw Zach. He hadn't noticed my presence yet. I took a deep breath before walking towards him. You've got this Emma. Do it for the sake of the guys. Even if he humiliates you, just take it all and do what you've got to do.

    "Zach?" I said while I tapped him on his shoulder. He turned around at once and looked at me with disgust. "What do you want?" He asked rudely. "Can we talk?" I asked him. "I don't want to talk to you." He said. "Please. Just for a while. After that, I promise I'll leave you alone." I pleaded with him. "Fine. Let's go to the field. But mind you, I don't want to be seen talking with you for long." He said. Although I was hurt by his words, I was still happy that he agreed to talk. So we went with the field.

     "Hurry up. Say what you want to say cause I haven't got all day." He said without even looking tat me. "I want you to be friends again with the guys." I told him. "I don't want to." He said. "But they're still your friends." "Correction. They were my friends until they decided to choose the person who tried to ruin my life over me." He spat. "But whatever happens, you guys are like bros. Sure, you guys may have some arguments and misunderstandings. But I'm sure it's something you guys can talk about and work things out." I tried to persuade him.

     "Sounds easy for you to say when you're actually happy that we're not friends anymore." He said. "What do you mean? Why would I be happy?" I asked confused. "Stop acting dumb will you? You're the main reason we're not even friends anymore. You're just trying to talk me into being friends again with them so that they can see that you're a nice person when you're actually not. You're just a snake who loves to destroy people's happiness. They may believe you but I will never believe you nor listen to whatever you tell me."

      "Zach I beg you. Please be friends with the guys again. They're actually quite sad although they're not showing it." I pleaded with him once again. "Fine. I'll be their friend again on one condition." Zach said. "What is it?" I asked. "I don't ever want to see you again with them ever again. Break off your friendship with them and then I'll go back to being their friends." He said.

     "How am I supposed to do that Zach?" I asked him shocked. "I don't know. If you want me to be their friend then do it then I will be their friend." "But I can't Zach. Each and every one of them is like a brother to me. I can't befriend them. They mean too much for me to let them go." I said. "And if it that's the case, then you can consider that I will never be their friend again." Zach said and walked away. "Zach! Wait!" I said running after him but he ignored me and kept walking away. "Emma?" I froze at that voice. It sounded like Cole. I turned around and indeed it was Cole along with the rest of the guys. They were standing there with their arms crossed and they didn't seem too happy. Gosh, what have I gotten myself into?
