At work

"So are you going to tell me about this mystery guy Jaylynn?" My coworker Angie asked

"I don't have a mystery guy and he's just a really just a good friend" I confessed

"Mmm yeah right, well when are you going to see him ? I mean you been talking to him for few months right?"

"I want to meet him I do but I'm so freaking nervous and I'm not the nervous type well not to the extreme" I said biting my sandwich.

"Well I'll go with you whenever you do decide I need a girls night anyways" she said stabbing her salad

"You sure a girls night and not just some dixk" I said laughing .

"Jay, I need both like I'm going to die celibacy is soo challenging"

" well I think that's the point" I laughed again

"Whatever" she stale faced me

"I wonder if head still classifies as celibacy" she said

"I'm dead, I think any form of sexual activity is breaking your celibacy" I started laughing

"Well shit I been fuxked up I been using Richard overtime" she said laughing

"Who the hell is richard?" I asked amused

"Uhh my vibrator" she looked at me like I head two heads

"Who names their vibrators, ya know what yo ass do" we both laughed in unison.

I set at work on my lunch talking to  Angie, we clicked very well she's super sweet and really pretty,  we both started at different times. She's started working here a month before I did. She has a son she's 22 and really down to earth.

After my shift I went home really thinking bout what Angie said . I wanna meet Jah but shit always happens like the last time.

Fuxk it I thought.

I reach into my purse grabbed my phone and called him to see when he'll be back in Florida.

The phone rang a few times and I was going to hang up after the last ring.

"Hey" I heard him say

"Hey, What are you doing ?" I asked hearing the noise in the background.

"Umm nothing really, how was your day ?" He asked with a horse voice.

"It was ok, how was yours" I said simply

"Hey Jay, I want to see you, I can't talk to you and never see you like ever, I'm sorry if I'm coming off rude".

"I understand that's why I called" my heart started to pound in my chest.

"Well I can fly you out where I'm at for the weekend you and a friend"

👀 I was shook

"Oh, I thought when you came back  to Florida" I said clearing my throat

"That won't be for another month Jay" he sounded sad

"Ok umm lemme"

"Look if you can't come I get it I  know it's last minute" he cut me off.

"Yeah" was all I could say.

"Well I'll talk to you later" he said and hung up

He was pissed at me.

I put my phone on the nightstand and and looked at my face in my vanity mirror. I know if I don't go see him this weekend we won't be friends.

next morning

"So you talk to him?" Angie said not wasting anytime

"Uh; I did" I said

"And; bitch telllllll meeeeeeee" she pleaded

"He wants to fly me and a friend out this weekend"

"Oh mahh gawd" she squealed. "You told him yes right?" She stopped her excitement and looked at me.

"I told him I think about it" I said defeated

"Girl no no no, we're going now get your phone and tell him" she said handing me my phone.

"I will tell him later today it's Thursday I still have time" I said .

"Good, don't flake out like a punk bitch" she said laughing.

The day carried on as usual and I had to muster up the courage to tell Jah I wanted to come see him.
