I set in the kitchen alone thinking what that thing said. What did it mean reach my potential? I know I'm a pretty cool person at times but this literally baffled me. I heard Xavier crying. I went in the family room and picked him up. Rocking him back and fourth getting him to calm down.
I admired him he was beautiful his smile reminded me so much of Jah . He was such a cute nugget. I had to make a decision and I didn't know what was the right move to make. I missed Jahseh so freaking much along with millions of fans and family. If I bring him back that means everything would be different. Was I ready for that ? Him coming back to us not being together, will I forget him? Will he have a void in his heart for me? How will our paths cross. Sitting down debating in my head I was taking out of my thoughts by the door opening.
"Jaylynn honey come help with these bags!" I heard Cleo say. I set the baby in his bassinet and went towards the kitchen.
"Hey ma" I said going in the kitchen.
"There's still a few bags in the car"
I grabbed the four bags and walked back in the house and set them on the counter.
"What's wrong Jay? Why you look worried?" Momma Cleo asked.
"Just thinking bout life" I sighed
She looked at me and gave a look of sadness. One thing is for sure Cleo was a strong woman but she didn't do very well with others emotions sometimes. she would mask her own to comfort others. but she couldn't handle too much at once she would change the subject.
"Talk to me honey"she-said putting a can of coconut milk on the counter with a large bag of rice.
"I jus wondered what life would be like if Jah was back". I said looking down at my fingers.
"That's a good question" she said taking out chicken wings.
"If you had the ability to bring him back and you had to sacrifice something, or let's say someone to bring them back would you do it?" I asked she frozen mid way about to grab a knife from the drawer.
" I would give up anything to have my son back" she said sitting the knife down.
"Even if that meant giving up your son Aiden?"
She paused before speaking I could tell she was letting the question sink in. "Yes I would" she said
"why?" I asked out of curiosity
"Jah and I had a very rocky Relationship if I could get back all the times that I missed with him then I would, I would change everything that I did and corrected it if I knew then what I knew now everything would be different"
After she answered my random questions It grew quiet followed by awkward silence between us. I didn't want her to think I thought less of her cause I felt the same too. I just didn't know how to explain that to her without sounding crazy.
once the conversation we had was over I went to my room and spent the remainder of the day with myself in my thoughts. this was all on me and I knew what I was leaning towards. as the night progressed on into the early hours in the morning I was visited by Gekyume.
"hello Jaylynn" his voice echoed
"hi" I said getting the chills from his deep eerie voice.
" what is your decision?" He asked
"before I give you my choice what will happened once its made?"
"once you make your decision you will end up at the last place before this place, you will still recall these events as time goes they will eventually fade away from you mind as if they never happened. Jahseh, will no longer know who you are, it is up to him to want you and if he does not all will be lost forever and so will the bond you shared"
"What's the last place before this place and how will I get him to even speak to me?" I tried to not sound confused but the thought of him not knowing me was killing me on top of all these riddles .
"that I can not say, but be wise of your decision pay close attention to everything that has happened over the time you known one another, everything plays a key role in life's history we would hate to allow life to repeat itself , what is your decision?'
"umm can I get more time I'm not ready like I thought I was ?" I said
"NOOO!" He yelled causing me to jump
"Please I just need to understand what I'm doing there is so much at risk I just want to make an inform decision"
"Dear child, you have been informed we only go on fate what is real will prosper and what is meant will be I will grant you time but after that if you still haven't came to a conclusion then this will be gone forever, you have till the end of this week " he said and disappeared
