Joelle's pov

"Hey! I never said that". Changbin yells from downstairs.

I laugh, "Is he always that loud?".

Jisung and I were laying on his bed as we watched some random show that was playing on the tv. Chan insisted that the door stayed fully open. Sometimes I wonder if he really could be my father in disguise but I doubt it. 

"Most times". Jisung's laughs, his hand moving over to play with my hair.

"Jisung". I pause and stare at him. "I just wanted to say thank you. I mean, I didn't think we could become this close and I know I shouldn't get this soft but you've helped me so much throughout this short time of knowing you. You helped me get my mind away from the evil thoughts of losing someone, you helped me with Taemin and still are. I shouldn't drop all my problems on you, you don't deserve that but yet you still stay. What is it? Why do you still stay after all this?".

Jisung stops playing with my hair and grabs my hand before softly kissing the top of it.

"Joelle, I would do anything for you. You've taught me that there's more to life than that group, you've honestly changed me for the better. If I had to fight everyone in this world in order to protect you, I would. I love you and that's why I stay, I would never leave". He smiles, squeezing my hand softly.

"You love me?". I stare at Jisung in shock.

Does he really?

Jisung nods his head saying 'yes' before leaning in close to my face and connecting our lips.

"FINALLY". Voices yell in sync from the hallway.

"Guys what did I tell you?!". Jisung yells back, pulling away.

Minho wiped a fake tear from his eyes, "Look our Jisung isn't afraid anymore".

Hyunjin joins in, "He's growing up so fast".

"Yeah yeah yeah, keep this door open. I'll have eyes everywhere". Chan glares before laughing.

"Oh Bang Chan stop it, can't you see they are happy together". Woojin slaps his shoulder.

"Yeah, you seemed happy when Jeongin and I first started dating so why is it a problem with them?". Yuna asks.

"She's been through a lot". Chan says and walks away.

"That got real". Felix laughs.

"We'll leave you two alone now, have fun but not too much!". Seungmin speaks up, trying to get everyone to walk away.

"I'm sorry about Chan, secretly he's happy but it's hard for him, he's been like an older brother to me ever since school, Chan saw all the things he did to me. He just doesn't want that to happen again".

"Jo, it won't. I won't let Taemin get to you and I promise that I won't be like him, I could never. I'll even promise Chan that".

"I know you won't". I smile. "Oh and Jisung, I love you too".

Jisung smiles before reconnecting our lips together as we softly moved in sync.

"I need to say this". Jisung pulls away and looks at me. "Kim Joelle, will you give me the honor of having you as my girlfriend?".

"Yes, the honor is now yours". I laugh.

"I'm glad I got that off my chest". Jisung smiles wide, looking as if he won the lottery.

"I'm glad you did too".

For a while, we just sat there in silence as we watched the tv. It was a comfortable silence. Jisung's arms were protectively wrapped around me as we laid on the bed. Slowly, my eyes started closing and before I knew it, I fell asleep.

"Thank you, Joelle". A voice quietly says right before I fully fall asleep.
