I don't want to be pretty
I'm not like other girls
Obsessing over fake celebrities
And playing with airtight curls
I don't want to wear jewelry
Or blow the boys kisses and lies
I'd rather eat what I want and when
Than to obsess over my size
I don't want a perfect figure
Or to suffocate myself from meals
Until my bones are as thin as needles
And I stumble blindly in high heels
I don't want a boyfriend
Or someone to hold my hand
I prefer not to wear makeup
Lest my skin will turn to dust and sand
I don't want to paint my nails
Or buy clothes for the flashy label
I'd hate to excuse myself right after I ate
Instead of sitting at the table
I don't want to put on short shorts
Or spray on a perfect tan
Or bleach my hair a beach blonde white
Or stuff my bra to get a man
I don't want to wear perfume
Or have my skin be smooth and crystal clear
I'm glad my teeth aren't perfect
And I'm proud that all my hair is real
Beauty is a dangerous thing
Others tease me because they can't see I'm free
While reality traps them behind bars
Of what they should and should not be

PoesíaJust a collection of poems I wrote, most have darker themes, so here's your angst/trigger warning if you need it. I write these on a pc so if the format looks weird on your phone that's probably why.
