ROUGH SUMMARY ofc is a free-spirited classmate of zach's who happens to need his help in passing mathematics. they always met up after ofc's busy shift in mcdonald's and they would sit there until midnight, zach teaching her basic calculus. their hardly friendly and mostly professional relationship changed when ofc invited zach to join her friends in a house party and zach's downward spiral started there.
SCENES/PLOT IDEAS - zach as a moody teenager with existence issues and he belittles everyone by instinct bc he is really smart academically. turns out, ofc seems to know more about life and how to look at it more than he did - ofc's friends making fun of her for hanging out with the "ivy league scholar" (in a teasing, non-malicious way) and when they played dare or spin the bottle with zach for the first time, of course they made the two kiss - zach's first time drunk (or high) and they literally lie down in the mcdonald's parking lot while they talked about important realizations - ofc isn't well off which is likely why they dont meet up at her house but she trusts zach enough eventually to let him in - zach "golden boy" herron sneaking drugs or cigarettes or alcohol into campus and getting in trouble - this fic looks like a retro-themed movie in my head
