ROUGH SUMMARY ofc works as a volunteer in a retirement home and jack has a grandfather (who he was named after) staying there. when jack leaves during breaks, he gets to stay in his hometown and he spends a lot of time visiting his grandfather. ofc is his grandfather's best friend in the retirement home and at one point, jack and ofc become best friends as well. they ended up reading an old box full of letters between jack's grandparents and iT COULD BE AN EXCUSE FOR AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT JACK 1970'S STORY but also not that's just an option
SCENES/PLOT IDEAS - ofc and grandpa jack bonding over something ridiculous like old heavy metal bands or old movies which makes her "the only cool person in this goddamn place" according to grandpa jack - jack and ofc spending the night sleeping sitting down on grandpa jack's floor or the gazebo/fountain in the retirement home's garden bc they stayed up too late reading the letters grandpa jack wrote for his wife - jack and ofc could possibly be ex lovers and they reminisce their old love story along with grandpa jack's and they relate lots of his story to the one they had except grandpa jack never gave up on his relationship unlike grandson jack - you could totally rename the grandfather bc this is confusing me too - grandpa jack asking them to blast dean martin on the radio and they dance around in the kitchen - jack performing in the lounge often when ofc was too busy with her shift - she makes fun of him for all the grandmas who have a crush on him (and grandpa jack often says things like "he got that charm from me" or "that's the true avery trademark: a ladies' man")
