Chapter 1: Bella's Freedom

A Couple Month's Later
Skylar's POV

Emmett and I were at our waterfall spending time with Hope. In these past 6 months that we've had her she was growing up to fast for our liking. Same goes for everyone else that she has taken a liking to.

Hope was playing with her toys next to me as I tried studying, but Emmett kept distracting me by kissing my neck.

"You know, you keep doing what your doing won't get this done faster." I pointed out.

"Oh you love it." Emmett smirked.

"Hey, what time is it?" I asked.

"3:58." Emmett answered checking his watch.

"Help me clean this up and get Hope." I sighed. "We have to be at the house by 4. Dad wanted to talk to Bella and I."

"Okay." Emmett nodded picking up Hope's toys and put them in her dipper bag  while I picked up my book bag and put my books in them before grabbing Hope.

"So, when is Stefan and Caroline's wedding again?" Emmett asked.

"This coming weekend. Caroline already has my brides maid dress so all you need to bring is clothes and a tux." I informed.

"Charlie knows?" Emmett asked.

"Yup, and Carlisle and Esme are watching Hope?" I asked to make sure.

"Yup, but I don't get why we can't bring her." Emmett sighed.

"As much as it worries me to leave her here, it's more dangerous in Mystic Falls than anywhere else I know." I frowned. "I just hope Stefan and Caroline's wedding will go off without a hitch."

Once everything was picked up I grabbed Emmett's hand and orbed us to the front porch next to Bella.

"God, you guys need to stop orbing in like that." Bella sighed after jumping.

By the time we walked into the house it just turned 4:00pm. Bella sighed and plopped on the couch next to Dad as Emmett put Hope on the love seat between us.

"4 o'clock on the dot." Dad sighed. "That kid trying to brown-nose me now or something?"

"He has a name." Bella scoffed. "Now he's too punctual for you?"

"Emmett, do you mind giving me a minute with the girls?" Dad asked.

"Of course, I'll just be upstairs." Emmett nodded taking Hope with him.

"You understand why your being grounded, don't you?" Dad asked Bella.

"Yeah, I put you through hell." Bella sighed.

"Yes, you did." Dad sighed. "But I have other reasons for grounding you."

"No offense or anything dad, but what does this have to do with me?" I asked.

"Hold on, I'm getting to that." Dad said before turning back to Bella. "I just want you to have some separation from..... him."

"Dad, there's nothing you can say. Edward is in my life." Bella said.

"Yeah, I'm gathering that." Dad sighed taking a sip of beer.

"Plus, why aren't you having the separation talk with Sky?" Bella frowned. "Emmett is always over here or she's always at his place. They come and go whenever they feel like and you don't say a damn thing."

"Yeah, well Bells, I know that you don't have any of this experience, but that's what you have to do when you live in separate houses and are taking care of a baby." I frowned.
