Chapter 10: We're Still Gonna Kick Someone's Ass, Right?

Later The Next Day
Skylar's POV

Bella, Jake, and I walked back out of the house after we had Jake go into our rooms and pick up the scent as Emmett and Hope stayed outside with Edward.

"Whoever it was he left his stink behind." Jake stated. "It'll be hard to miss if we come across it again. We'll handle it from here."

"We don't need you to handle anything, or anyone." Edward insisted.

"I could care less what you need." Jake frowned.

"Okay, great. Then we'll all work together. I mean come on, we all got the same goals here, right? To catch the bad vampires." I said trying to get them to see eye to eye.

"Like there's a difference." Jake scoffed.

"Alright we're done here." Edward stated grabbing Bella's arm.

"No, you're done here." Jake argued grabbing Bella's other arm.

"Stop! Let go! I'm tired of this! From now on we're Switzerland's, okay?!" Bella snapped gesturing between me and her. "I know you guys don't like each other, but we've got bigger problems. Lots of them. But it's just on temporary solution. If you'd be willing to try."

Both of the boys nodded not liking the idea one bit. But it's wasn't about rivalry anymore. It was about our safety, and Dad's. The nights that followed we at least tried to get them to work together. The pack took over so the Cullen's could hunt. It wasn't an easy alliance. Its now been a couple weeks since the intruder problem and now Edward and Emmett were dropping Bella, Hope, and I off at the treaty line with Jake so they could hunt.

Once we arrived I got out and Emmett came around handing me Hope.

"Have fun, be safe, and for the love of God don't go cliff diving again like you did last year. I don't know if my dead heart could take it." Emmett teased making me roll my eyes and pecked him on his lips before grabbing the dipper bag and started to walk to Jake when I passed Bella and Edward making out.

"Ugh, keep it PG kids. We have innocent eyes around." I teased gesturing to Hope before making my way to Jake and gave him a side hug before he took Hope, causing her to smile. She's really missed seeing him and the pack.

Once Bella finally left Edwards side Jake handed me back Hope and smiled at Bella.

"Hey beautiful." Jake smirked pulling her into a tight hug. This caused Edward to quickly get in the car and speed off. This caused Jake to shrug as we stood on the other side of the car. "So what do you guys wanna do today? Bike? Hike? Just hang? It's up to you but we're going to a party tonight."

Yeah the so called party, was a council meeting, I was kinda nervous because it was my first one as co-alpha. But Jake asked me before we came not to tell Bella, so she doesn't feel like she shouldn't be there. Once we got to Jake's we just hung around, played with Hope, watched movies and ate until it was time to go.

"You sure this is okay?" Bella asked us as we headed towards the council meeting out back. "I really hate being a party crasher."

"Technically you're a council meeting crasher." I pointed out. "See, the council leaders, Dad, Quil's grandpa, and Sue Clearwater. She took over when Harry died."

"Okay, I should not be here." Bella said shyly.

"You're okay. We thought it'd be a good idea to hear the histories." Jake assured.

"The tribes histories? Aren't they secret?" Bella asked.

"Bells, we've all got a roll to play, you're apart of this." I nodded. "Plus its Leah, Seth, Hope, and I's first time hearing them too."
