Chapter 8: Jacob Shows Up

The Next Morning
Skylar's POV

It was time for school and Emmett was getting dressed in the bathroom while I just finished my makeup and hair.

"Ready?" Emmett asked grabbing his backpack.

"Yup, let's go. Edward and Bella are waiting for us out side in the car." I said as we walked downstairs. Emmett and Edward in the front and Bella and I in the back.

"Do you regret going?" Edward asked as he parked the car in the parking lot.

"No, I was really happy to see my mom. It was just tough saying goodbye." Bella sighed.

That's when Emmett and Edward frowned looking out the window.

"If we asked you to stay in the car, would you?" Edward asked as him and Emmett stepped out causing Bella and I to step out after them.

"Of course not." Emmett sighed wrapping his arm around my shoulder's while we walked up to Jacob who was leaning against his bike.

"Hey." Bella and I greeted as he met us half way.

"Charlie said you two left town." Jacob frowned.

"Yeah, I had a wedding to go to and Bella was visiting Mom. Why?" I nodded.

"Just checking to see if Bella's still human." Edward chuckled.

"I came here to warn you." Jacob stated. "If you're kinda come onto our land again."

"Wait, what?" Bella asked.

"You guys didn't tell her?" Jacob stated.

"Just leave it alone, Jacob." Edward frowned.

"Tell me what?" Bella asked looking at the three of us.

"Connor and Paul had a misunderstanding. It's nothing to worry about." Emmett shrugged.

"Listen to you, did you lie to get her outta town too?" Jacob seethed.

"You should leave." Edward said taking a threatening step forward. I was about to get in between them but Emmett held me back. "Now."

"She has the right to know, Sky isn't the only one the red head wants." Jacob pointed out.

"Victoria?" Bella frowned then turned to Edward and I. "Alice's vision?!"

"We were just trying to protect you Bells." I tried to reason.

"By lying to me. Okay, we'll talk about this later but you." Bella said turning to Jake. "Why haven't you called me or Sky back?"

"Because I had nothing to say." Jake shrugged turning toward his bike.

"Well I have tons, hold on." Bella said about to follow him but Edward held her back.

"Edward, you have to trust me." Bella sighed.

"Bella, I do trust you. It's him I don't trust." Edward stated.

Bella just ignored Edward and got on behind Jake.

"Lose the grin Jacob, we're only going for a ride." Bella stated as they left.

And with that Emmett and I left Edward so we could get to class.

"Hey, after school do you want to come over to my place? Hang out there and spend time with Hope?" Emmett asked.

"Of course." I smiled kissing his cheek.

Skip Day
After School

Once school was over, we rode with Jasper and Alice back home. Once we got through the door I heard Hope up in the livingroom. I quickly dropped my bags and ran upstairs and picked up my baby girl from playing with her toys.

"Oh, I missed you baby girl!" I cooed as she happily sqealed to see us.

"Yayayayayaya!" Hope gurgled happily with the biggest smile.

"Looks like we're not the only ones happy to have you back." Alice smiled.

"We didn't miss anything while we were gone, did we?" I askes.

"No, but I think she's gettin' ready to start crawlin'. She's been tryin' to pick herself up to get her toys but always lands on her stomach afterwards." Jasper explained.

"She's growing up too fast." I said feeling like I could cry.

"I know." Emmett nodded as Hope reached out to be held by Emmett and he took her.

"Wanna go to the medow?" Emmett asked.

"Sure." I smiled grabbing Hope's dipper bag and we walked out of the house to the medow, spending time as a family.
