The Next Morning
Skylar's POV

Last night after hearing that the doppelbitch was back for more hell raising, I didn't get much sleep that night after returning to my room here.

That morning though Damon called everyone over for a meeting. While Bonnie was upstairs getting Caroline everyone took their turns welcoming me back and was happy to meet Emmett and see that I've found my mate. But once I told them the bad news, everyone was just as upset as Damon, Emmett, and I were. And you may ask how Emmett knew, well another thing is that while I couldn't sleep, I told Emmett everything from day 1 what Katherine had done.

"Alright, processor, how do we get rid of the queen of hell?" Damon asked Alaric over the phone.

"Are you sure Katherine's in our world?" Ric asked.

"When Cade crossed planes after the eleventh ring of the bell other souls could step through, too. Same way Kai did." Bonnie explained.

"And the bitch would have jumped at that chance." I frowned.

"Then why haven't we seen her yet?" Jenna asked also over the phone. "I thought by now she's be strutting around, making demands, or trying to get us all killed."

"Maybe she's biding her time." Emmett suggested.

"Or putting her own plan together." Damon added.

"Either way you're gonna need a new weapon." Another voice said over the phone.

"Is that Dorian?" Stefan asked.

"Wait, wait, wait? You mean that guy who shot you with wooden bullets." I frowned.

"Yeah, I've asked Dorian to take point on our research front." Alaric informed.

"This doesn't mean you and I are cool." Dorian stated. "I still have those files, so, I'm here to hold you accountable, for the rest of your God given life."

"I hope that you do." Stefan agreed.

"So what have you guys come up with?" Caroline asked.

"Cade was killed with a dagger that was made from his bones. It was fused into glass by a white-hot flame." Dorian explained. "First things first, though. I don't suppose you know where Katherine's bones are."

"Actually we do. Who would've though she'd done us a favor." I said looking at Stefana and Damon.

"Sky's right, we have every last one of Katherine's bones in the cave, underneath the old church, left over from a traveler barbeque she had when she tried to posses Elena." Damon added.

"But fusing the bones into glass, how are we gonna make that kind of weapon?" Emmett asked.

"Would putting the bone in a metal dagger do the trick?" Matt asked. "My parents are in town, I could as my dad to help."

"Parent's, as in plural?" Caroline frowned.

"Unexplained family reunion, so now I got two nightmares to deal with." Matt sighed.

"Well, good luck Matty." I stated.

"Gossip later, townies." Damon said making Emmett and I let out a low chuckle. "Stefan, Emmett, Sky, and I will go on bone-fetching duty...."

"Really? You had to go there?" I frowned but Damon just smirked and continued. "As I was saying. We'll go on bone-fetching duty."

"Dorian, Ric, and I will research an alternative to fight her." Jenna added.

"See, if Katherine is back, that means hell still exists." Dorian clearified. "We need to figure out how to get rid of her link to hell."

"The psychic dimensions are tied to emotional trauma." Bonnie informed. "Cade created his when he was burned at the stake, I created mine when...... I saw Enzo get murdered."
