Chapter 17: Broken Bones

Emmett's POV

"Skylar, stop!" Sam and Dean yelled after her but it all happened so fast and I wasn't able to stop her. The new born wrapped it's arms around Skylar and instantly crushed her before dropping her to the forest floor. The pack instantly attacked and destroyed the new born as everyone rushed over as she curled up in a ball with tears streaming down her face.

"Oh, baby." I frowned, feeling like I could cry.

"Emmett." She cried out.

"I'm right here baby." I assured.

"Don't worry Sky, Carlisle's gonna take care of you." Edward stated as Carlisle made everyone back up a little.

"You idiots! I had it!" Leah yelled.

"Leah!" Sam warned making her shut up.

"Oh my God, Sky." Bella cried as tears rolled down her cheeks, not able to see her little sister in this much pain.

"The bones on the right half of her body are shattered." Carlisle frowned. "I need to set her bones before the accelerated healing kicks in. It's already starting."

"We have to get her out of here, we won't win a fight with the Volturi if they see her this vulnerable and want to take her away." Rosalie pointed out.

"We'll take her back to Emily's." Sam stated.

"I'll be there as soon as I can." Carlisle nodded.

"We'll go with her." Dean stated as Sam nodded in agreement.

"Hang in there, baby." I sighed as my heart broke when she continued to whither in pain. I kissed her head and reluctantly went back to my family as the pack picked her up and took her away.

Later: At Emily's House

Bella and I got to the rez and Emily's house as soon as we can.

Sam was holding Hope as she cried. Imprintee or not, Hope still cried, sensing that her mother figure was in trouble as another loud scream echoed the house and forest around them. Everyone who was there flinched as it happened again.

"Docs rebreaking her bones." Sean said emotionally for his alpha who grew on him as a little sister.

"It's been going on for the past hour and a half." Billy said sadly as he squeezed Sue Clearwater's hand, hearing their neice letting out an even louder ear-piercing scream.

"Alright, I can't take this anymore." I stated going up to the house only to be stopped by Jared, Paul, Jacob, Seth, Embry, Quil, Sam, Dean, and Bobby. "What's your guys' deal?! Let me go see her!"

"She asked us not to let you see her like this. Not until Carlisle's done." Jacob said looking down.

"Why did she have to butt-in. I could have taken that tick." Leah stated, a but jealous of her co-alpha.

"Oh, give it a fucking rest Leah." Sam stated using his alpha voice to make her shut up.

That's when Carlisle came out along with Rosalie who looked just as upset as Bella and I were. Sky and Rosalie were always the closest friends in the house no matter what.

"The worst is over." Carlisle said then looked over at me. "You might want to call Leo and have him come heal her."

"What?! There has to be something else, he'll kill me for letting her do what she did." I frowned. "There has to be another way."

"There is." Bobby said holding up a vile of blood making everyone look at him odly.

"It's vampire blood, the Originals to be exact. Sky gave Sam, Dean, and I a couple to use in case we end up seriously hurt on a job." Bobby sighed. "I've lived long enough with out having to use it. Here."

Bobby handed me the vile and nodded. "Take it to her."

I nodded and ran inside, seeing her laying on her bed upstairs.

"Oh, baby." I wanted to cry if I could, it was just heart breaking seeing her like this.

"Emmett." She sighed in relief as tears stained her cheeks.

"Here, drink this." I said opening the vile for her.

"Where'd you get that?" Sky frowned.

"Bobby gave it to me. He wants you to have it." I informed.

"Is he sure, I gave him that for emergencies only." Sky sighed.

"Well he's not the only one who thinks this is an emergency." I said putting the vile close to her lips. "Please, for me?"

I sighed in relief as she took all of it and started to heal quickly.

"Thank you." I smiled and pulled her into a tight hug when she sat up with a smile. "Don't ever do that again to me baby. You had me worried sick."

"I'm sorry." She frowned looking down sadly the realized. "Where is everyone else? Are they safe? What happened with the Volturi?"

"Everyone's fine. And it was only Jane, Alec, Demetri, and Felix. They didn't even know your or the pack was apart of this." I explained.

"Good." She sighed in relief then jumped up. "Hope."

Before I could even stop her she jumped out of the bed and raced down stairs almost tackling Sam to give her Hope. That's when Hope immediately stopped crying and reached out for Sky.

Sam let Sky hold her and she cuddled up to Sky like she wasn't gonna let her go. Sky then turned to me and pulled me into a hug as well and held us both tightly.

After everyone made sure Sky was okay I took her and Hope home and held them all night.
