Chapter 15: Camp Site Privacy

Skylar's POV
A Couple Days Later

It was now a couple days from the battle and Bella and I just got back from meeting at the field for when the battle is taking place tomorrow. Emmett and I decided to stay away together and head to our camp sight a day early to have the night to ourselves.

When Bella and I got out of the truck I saw Alice and Dad walking out of the house laughing.

"Alright Alice, don't be a stranger." Dad smiled.

"Okay." Alice smiled back as he went back inside then turned to Bella and I. "Your guy's alabi for the battle is arranged."

"Really?" Bella and I asked.

"Yeah, I told your father that my entire family is going camping for the weekend so you two and I are having a sleep over at my house while Sam and Emily are watching Hope to give you a break. Charlie's going fishing anyways." Alice informed.

"Charlie?" I laughed. "What? You guys on first name bases now?"

"Me he likes." Alice shrugged with a smile. "Actually you and Edward will have the house to yourself tonight."

"Like alone?" Bella asked.

"Yeah, they're going hunting, powering up for the battle." I nodded.

"What about you?" Bella asked me.

"Emmett and I are going to the camp sight, not too far from yours but we'll be there a day early. You know, have some time to ourselves." I shrugged with a smile.

I went back inside and started to get my clothes packed for these couple days, along with pillows, blankets, and food. Which I already had the cooler of food and the tent in the car.

Once I was ready I grabbed Hope's packed bag and took her down to Sam and Emily's.

When I got there all the boys were there training in the back.

"Hey Em." I smiled giving her a hug as I met her in the kitchen.

"Hey, Sky! Your just in time. Lunch is ready." She said gesturing to the counter full of food.

"As much as I would love to stay and eat, I have to meet up with Emmett here pretty soon. We're going up to the campsite early." I said with a blush. "You know, some private time."

"I totally get it." Emily said with a smirk. "Sam and I were the same way when we first got engaged."

"How did you......."

"Know?" Emily said with a smile. "I noticed that the ring on you're finger changed to a bigger rock."

"Wow." I laughed. "You do pay attention to detail."

"I try." Em chuckled before looking at me seriously. "So when are you going to tell the boys?"

"Tell us what?" Sam asked walking in with the boy's behind him.

I looked at Em and sighed when she nodded her head. She's right, I can't keep secrets from them, they're my pack brothers.

"Emmett and I are engaged." I said, waiting for their response.

"As much as I have to say it, that's great." Sam said pulling me into a hug as I met out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Really?" I asked. "You mean it?"

"As much as we'd love to have you not engaged to a blood sucking lee-- vampire." Jared corrected himself after I have him the look. "You're happiness is all that counts."
