Alfie, Jamie, Malik, CoreyJamie went through what Dolton had told him again, the infected were deaf and were not drawn by noise but instead by smell, not like the typical walking dead infected that the world had come to know and love. So he was safe to use a gun basically.
Jamie was armed with a hatchet and a pistol, which was the standard weaponry given to a brute. The attire he was wearing really suited the name, he was dressed in a paintball armour that had metal wiring melded onto it to act as a sort of mesh to protect his chest, arms and shins. It weighed him down a little but he wasn't a runner so he didn't mind too much.
'Don't get too involved with that arm of yours, Jamie. Stay back and shoot from a distance if you can manage that for now.'
That's what Dolton had told him, which he was completely fine with, he didn't fancy getting too close to the rotting bastards anytime soon.
"I'm just saying, I feel sleek as fuck." Alfie came up behind Jamie and said.
Jamie turned to look at him and Malik, they were both in sports shorts with a leg under armour underneath with knee pads and football shin pads. They both had a beige white t-shirt on and a knife and hatchet with Nike running trainers.
"You look like nonces I think you mean." Corey laughed at them.
"Fuck off yeah we look sick." Malik grinned.
"You're wearing tights."
The voice shocked Jamie and he spun around to see who it was. Alex was stood behind him, looking rather uninterested and as much as Jamie hated to admit it, quite hard looking.
"Well, haven't seen you in a while, Alex." Malik said, the humour gone from his face.
"I've been busy." Was his short reply.
Jamie noticed that Alex was also dressed in the attire of a brute, looking rather in place in it as well. Jamie didn't want to be like the rest of the boys when it came to Alex, he didn't remember anything so he wouldn't judge Alex for it.
"Welcome back, Alex. It's good to see you." Jamie spoke up again before an awkward silence set in.
Jamie offered out his hand, willing for Alex to shake it. Alex looked the offer and did nothing.
"Come on, let's go and see Dolton." Alex said calmly and turned heel to head for the door.
Jamie didn't know what to say, he just felt rather offended.
"Oi mate have you got a fuckin problem?" Corey suddenly shot up, an angry tone in his voice.
Alex just carried on walking, seemingly completely ignoring the fact that Corey had even spoken.
"That little..." Corey trailed off.
That's when Corey walked after him, not just a normal walk but a walk of someone who had a bone to pick, an angry, fast paced walk.
"Corey, don't." Alfie spoke up.
"Hey mate I said have you got a fuckin problem?" Corey persisted angrily, grabbing Alex on the shoulder and spinning him around.
The crack could be heard even from where the other three boys were standing as the punch collided with Corey's nose. Alex had gone with the direction of his body and brought his fist with it, letting it slam hard into Corey's nose, sending him reeling backwards, hitting himself onto the ground.
"HEY!" Alfie yelled, springing at Alex and tackling him at the waist.
"Oi you two fuckin chill out!" Malik shouted. "I'll get Dolton."
