Alfie
—————Alfie had been looking in the mirror for hours now, looking at himself. Studying his features, wondering what Elise had seen in him.
He knew what he had seen in Elise, he had seen a strong, beautiful girl that he fell for instantly, it had only been a few months since then but it felt like an eternity ago now, with everything that had happened. He looked at his face, a strong face, defined cheekbones, young.
He had a straggly beard, his moustache and and chin filled with black hair, his cheeks and under his chin being less full.
He looked older now, he looked like a man, he looked scary.
He was ready to kill now.—————
Corey
—————Corey was sat in the students lounge of the university, he was on his own, his rifle and his hatchet at his side.
His long, curly hair had grown long over the last few months, looking rough and falling in front of his right eye.
He looked kind of like a pirate. He sat and thought, about how many times he had avoided death up until now, not only his own but the deaths of others.
He hadn't even tried to find his parents at the start, because he was too scared to find out what might have happened.
He regretted it, heavily. It's fine though, they probably thought he was dead, if they weren't dead already.
If only they could see him now, what would they think? Would they be proud of him? Or would they be afraid?Or maybe, just maybe. They'd even understand why he'd killed Malik.
Corey didn't know what to think of that battle, he didn't know if he would be killed, even though he was leaning towards the fact that he would.
He didn't know if he'd be ready to kill again, in the thick of it.
He hoped he would, but he didn't know if he could.—————
Jay
—————Jay was mortified. Not for his own safety, but for his sisters.
When he'd learnt that Izzy would be joining in on the fight, he didn't know how to react.
He was so worried for his little sister, worried about whether she'd die or not, and if she didn't, worried about what she'd do to keep herself alive, and how it would affect her.Jay knew he was ready for battle, he knew he could kill someone he didn't know, he'd just distance himself from the reality of his actions, but he didn't know if Izzy could, she'd always been weaker than him and their dad.
She took after her mum, that's why their mum had died first. He was scared of being the only person left from his family, the only person to continue the legacy.
In Jay's eyes, the survival of his family name was down to him.
And he would not let this battle end his family legacy.—————
Harriet
—————The four trucks rolled into the university.
She had to admit, she was impressed, they were doing well for food and general supplies, but she now understood the extent of their weapon problem.
The small army from the university that she saw before her were almost all armed with just melee, that wouldn't do any good in a fight. She stopped her truck, jumping out of the vehicle to greet the man she had got to know as Mark from the meeting.
"How are you doing?" She asked.
"Good." Mark replied, she could see that something was wrong though. She didn't pry.
"What's the head count from Windsor?" Mark asked.
"20, you?"
"Same." Mark replied.
The pair walked to the group from the university, at first glance she saw the boy that had been at Windsor a few days previous, he had a dark look in his eye, one similar to that of Mark's.
Something had clearly gone down since she'd last seen them.
