The dreams hit me like a tidal wave.
I saw all the Elementals. Fire, Water, Earth, Storm, Air, Shadow, and Ice. They were named in front of me. At first all of them were happy. Only the Ice wasn't. She sat in the corner freezing and unfreezing a ball of water. The others partied and chatted.
After that, the scene changed. it became awful and gruesome. There was war. It was between the Elementals, and a large creature with fangs and spikes. It's was an iridescent color with lots of blue in it.
And then the dreams faded and I opened my eyes.
To of course a person right in my face.
"Ahhhh!!!" I screamed, then realized it was James.
"Sorry, uh, sorry!" he said. "Some foster kid thought you fainted. I think you should pack up." He said.
"Um, ok." I said as I started packing.
"Sorry to be rushing you, I was just late and I'm supposed to be finding people with elemental backgrounds and I'm just hurrying." he blurted out, sounding stressed.
"Oh, it's fine." I answered, giving him a worried look.
It took me a while to pack even though I don't have much. James waited out in the hall. When I was alone, I wondered what it was like in Shadawn, to be a Elemental, and what type I will be. I will soon get my answers. I walked back into the hall to meet up with James.
"So how are we, like, getting there?" I asked.
"Glad you asked, its gonna be fun!" James said winking.
"I am officially scared now." I said
"Maybe you should be maybe not." He smirked and whistled.
Out of no where a giant dragon came down on the lawn out side and looked at us.
"OH my god! That's so cool! DO we get to ride it?!" I was astonished.
"No, I just called it so we can look at it" He said sarcastically, he had this huge grin on his face I couldn't help but smile.
It was exhilarating. If you have ever ridden a crazy roller coaster, this is ten times more fun.
"So what's this dragon's name?" I shouted over the wind.
"Striker." he said "Wanna drive?"
"Sure um.. I mean yeah." I said
I crawled in front of him and took hold of the reins and lightly shook them up and down. The dragon went faster.
"Steer right!" James yelled
"Oh right.... Uh.... " I pulled the reins to the right and pulled up just missing a tree "Woah!" James said staring in awe.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Your a natural like that was a really hard maneuver. I couldn't pull it off." he said cutting off the last word.
I smiled, blushing.
We drove for a while me steering, while James sat quietly behind me. Suddenly, something caught my eye behind me, it was a massive shadow on the ground.
I pulled back on the reins.
"Is there supposed to be a giant dragon right there?" I asked James.
"I don't know." He answered clearly in as much shock as I am. Then, the dragon opened it's big yellow eyes and turned to face us.
