I could barely remember getting there. A river twisted and turned and the water was crystal clear. It was rushing fast down the stream from the flooding. I felt so calm here unlike the last two weeks. I had really been here for two days but all the blacking out took up time. I had met so many people and I had no idea who I could and couldn't trust. It was infuriating, I knew I could trust James for sure, or I had to believe that. I was pretty sure I could trust Ally, she was one of the only people who helped me when I was down. I had met so many others like, Lynn, Star, Max, Josh, Morgan, and Genevieve. Who am I supposed to trust? Too many questions.
Also how am i supposed to survive out here since I am so unlike everybody else. I wouldn't trust myself if I was them. I wish I could find someone like me. Someone different singled out, like me, the only Ice in 1000 years.
No one could teach me and no one could understand me. It was just me, and of course, Ice who is who knows where.I put my head in my hands.
Then I heard something, the rustle of leaves behind me. On instinct I pulled out my pocket knife to my defense even though I could probably use my ice. If I could even control it. That was another obstacle to face later."Hey." said a girl coming out of the bushes.
"Hey." I said, trying to be casual with a knife in my hand.
She had long wavy black and blue ombré hair, bright blue eyes and was dressed similar to me in black converse, a jet black leather jacket, and black jeans, but her shirt was an aqua blue. She had a knife strapped to her belt and had a backpack in her hand.
"So nice down here, isn't it?" The girl asked.
"I guess so, this is my first time here." I answered.
"Same." the girl admitted.
"How long have you been here?" I asked.
"Just got here today actually." she said.
"Oh cool, liking it so far?" I asked, figuring I could show her around.
"Yeah seems cool here, at least better than my old place." She said.
"Well, it's been chaotic these few weeks I have been here. A couple deaths, I'm the only one of my kind in like, 10000 years, and the Elementals wanna kill me." I blurted without thinking.
"Ok slow down, I got the deaths part but why are you all famous and dead." she asked laughing.
"Well I'm not dead, but as you probably got the tour," I said cautiously, "Anyone show you the ice cabin?"
"No I only got Shadow, Water, Fire, Earth, Air, and Storm" she said, counting them on her fingers.
"Of course, well I guess they don't want you to know, but I guess I'll tell you. I'm an Ice elemental. I'm the first in over 1000 years. And apparently, I'm not supposed to be alive."
"Oh." was all she said. She seemed to consider this.
"Well what's your name?" I asked, realizing I hadn't asked.
"Oh, it's Amber, Amber Shadowtide." she answered.
"Cool I'm Sky." I said shaking her hand.
"So where are you staying tonight, unless your claimed or know your element."
"I have no idea." She said shaking her head.
"Ok, well, let's go ask my friend where you should stay."
"Ok."
I weaved my way back to the main area. I didn't know my way around very well but I'm pretty good at navigation. I finally found the fire cabin after I briefly showed her mine. It was a red-painted cabin and it was made of wood. The wood looked like a mahogany, or something similar. A fire symbol had been burned onto one of the double doors at the front.
