The dragon wasn't necessarily nice at first. It didn't allow James to even get close without growling harshly.  When James tried to touch it, it almost bit his hand off.

"Maybe I should try?" I asked.

"No way, it almost ate me and you wanna try to tame it?" he countered.

"Well, if it doesn't work out, come to my funeral, ok?" I said as I jumped off Striker, who whimpered.

I didn't really know what I was going for. I just knew I had to reach the dragon. As soon as I was within five feet, the dragon lunged and caught me on its neck.

"Woah there!" I said and stroked its neck. The dragon began to purr softly.

"No way." James said in disbelief.

I couldn't read his expression, too many emotions. He looks worried, in awe, or maybe just confused.

"Well I think I made a new friend." I said, as the dragon purred louder.

"I guess you have. Alright,  let's go, it isn't far from here." James said as he adjusted the reins on striker.

I named the dragon Zara. James liked the name and gave me his spare reins. He smiled as he handed them to me. I blushed.

"Take a left around that tree." said James. Shadawn will be on your right!"

We took a left as James had said, and I saw Shadawn for the first time. It was beautiful. We flew toward two giant wooden doors. It was a deep wood that had a iridescent shine to it that amazed me. His dragon blazed fire on the door. I thought it was going to catch fire, but instead it opened with a loud creak and the scraping of rocks and dirt.

"Welcome to Shadawn!" he announced.

I flew up to the gate and glided through, and felt a sensation through me. I was about to ask James what that meant. When I heard a gasp behind me.

"NO!" A angry voice screamed.

"GRRR! NO, NO, NO! GET HER OUT OF HERE!" screamed another.

A girl stormed in front of me. I knew her too well. It was Bridget Taylor. She was flushed, the air sparked around her.

"You will not stay here!" Bridget screamed.

She shot a bolt of lightning at me. I saw it spark in front of me, I instinctively shielded myself with my hands. Her sparks were deflected and disappeared harmlessly into thin air.

I heard James gasp in shock, and yell something but I was stunned, I couldn't hear him.

I heard more lightning crackle. I realized they had all created more lightning and had thrown it at me. I wasn't fast enough to block all of the strikes. A gash appeared on my right temple and my left leg.

My energy was fading, my wounds burned. The last thing I remembered was lashing out at Bridget and James shouting my name.

Someone kept saying my name over and over again. "Sky, Sky, Sky!" I recognized it as James' voice. "It's ok Sky." I felt myself slipping away again, and eventually lost consciousness.

Then the dreams came in. They flooded into my head barely giving me time to breathe. All I could see was James lifting me up. I could see what was happening, but I couldn't wake up. I started screaming, and screamed until my throat felt like it might tear apart.  Then all the feeling flushed back in. I could feel my limbs again, the only problem was the burning pain...

It hurt pretty bad in my leg, also my temple hurt but, my arms were fine and thrashing.

James ran to my side. "Sky, Sky, Sky! Stop that, you're ok!"

I blinked, and rested my arms at my sides, my heart racing.

Someone else walked into the room.  She had golden brown hair and was pale and thin. Her eyes were a beautiful violet color.

"Hi i'm Brooklyn but you can call me Brooke." She said.

Her eyes were very pretty and her hair had flowers in it so I could tell she was an earth.

"I'll just fix you up, quick and easy." she spun her fingers and the pain in my leg went away. My temple still hurt, but other wise, I was fine.

Then I got up and walked outside. James was sitting there, waiting. He got up and grabbed my hand. I was taken by surprise, he walked me down a path until we caught up with a girl. She had a dark aura about her. She had long white hair and gray eyes and she wore a mischievous smile on her face.
