"Sebby, what's going on? Why are you rushing me everywhere? Everything's okay, right?"
"Babe, there's nothing to worry about. I promise."
Sebastian and Laura were on their way to their date destination. Sebastian was acting very jittery, and it was beginning to put Laura on edge. He'd been rushing her all day and wouldn't tell her a single thing. She was now walking hand in hand with him to, well she had no idea.
"Sebastian, you're really making me nervous," she laughed softly.
"Trust me, you're not the one that should be nervous," he whispered underneath his breath.
"What?" she asked, unable to hear him.
"Oh, nothing. Just mumbling to myself."
"Okay. Well, are we almost there? I think my hand's about to fall off you've been pulling it so hard."
"Just a few more minutes, Laur. I promise," Sebastian smiled reassuringly.
Laura hummed in response.
Sebastian was anxious. His heart was beating extremely fast and his hands were sweating. Luckily, Laura hadn't taken too much notice, just excusing body heat as the cause. He had everything planned, and he was so glad he'd been able to keep it a secret over the past few weeks. Sebastian didn't want everything ruined now, especially not because of sweaty palms.
"And, we're here."
"Sebastian, where are we? This is just a hill," Laura asked which her brows furrowed, obviously confused.
"Come on, just up the hill," he told her, taking her hand and leading her up the hill.
Laura's eyes widened at what was at the top of the hill. A small makeshift gazebo was set up. Under it, a table set for two lit by candlelight.
"Oh, Seb, this is beautiful," Laura smiled up at him with love in her eyes.
"Happy two years, dragostea mea." he told her with love in his eyes.
Sebastian guided Laura to the table, pulling the chair out for her.
"How in the world did you have time to plan this?"
"It took a while and it was pretty stressful, but I wouldn't have done it any differently."
The two ate in silence, but it wasn't awkward. They were just happy to be with one another. Sebastian had pulled a few strings and had an old friend, who just so happened to be a chef, prepare a dinner for them.
Once they were done, Sebastian began smiling at Laura.
"What?" Laura laughed.
"How about dessert?"
"Oh, that sounds perfect!"
"Dulce de leche cake, I know it's your favorite."
While Laura got up to grab the two plates of cake from the small table outside of the gazebo, Sebastian grabbed the small box out of his pocket and got down on one knee. He smiled to himself, knowing in a matter of seconds he was going to ask the woman of his dreams to marry him.
"Hey Seb, why don't we share a piece?" She asked, turning around to bring the plate over. "I don't know if I could eat a- oh my God." Laura gasped.
She almost dropped the plate before she quickly sat the plate down. Her hands went to her mouth, tears forming in her eyes.
Sebastian chuckled, mostly at the sight of her almost dropping the plate.
"Seb, this is not the time to laugh at me!" Laura scolded him, tears forming.
Sebastian laughed, "Laura, ever since I saw that picture of you, I knew I wanted you in my life. I didn't care if it was just as friends, but God am I so glad that we turned into more than that. I thought you were one of the most beautiful girls I'd ever seen and knowing you now, I can say that you are so beautiful inside and out. You are so strong, kind, and thoughtful. I know we've had our ups and downs, but I wouldn't want to spend those ups and downs with anyone else. Laura, I am so glad I've gotten to call you my girlfriend for two years. I can honestly say they have been the best two years of my life. So, Laura will you make the rest of my life just as great and marry me?"
Laura could barely choke out an answer, tears spilling from her eyes. She nodded furiously, "Yes, Seb, oh my God, yes!"
Sebastian smiled so widely it hurt. He stood up and raced towards Laura, grabbing her in a hug and spinning her around. He sat her down and placed the ring on her finger.
"Sebastian, this is gorgeous," she smiled, tears still making their way down her face.
He hugged her again, then pulled his head back and smiled widely at her.
"God, I love you so much."
