Cliche #6 - cheesy confessions to a crush
There are some confessions that make you shout "hurray!" and jump up in your seat in excitement, but then there are some that make you want to curl up in a ball and die.
Example #1:
"Mariah, I l-l-like you," Tom stuttered as he nervously twiddled with the hem of his shirt.
Mariah looked up from her book and smiled. "Aww, I like you too!"
"NO!" Tom shouted and Mariah looked at him in shock. "Not as a friend. I like like you! Every time I see you I want to pull you in a hug and make out with you until all your saliva has been sucked dry from your mouth!"
Without further word, Mariah hopped on him and they did the nasty.
^^^ Okay, that one wasn't that bad until the ending.
Example #2:
Boy: "I like a girl, but I don't know how to tell her..."
Girl: "Just simply tell her 'I like you'."
Boy: "Okay, I like you." 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Girl: "WAHRTT! OYU LIEK ME!"
Boy: "YES!::
Girl: "I LOVE YOU OTOOO!!!!!"

Okay, I get that some people enjoy cheesy confessions, but I personally find them cringe. I guess sometimes they're cute, but only if written correctly.
