Chapter 44: Parents

My head was spinning when I opened my eyes, I was in Antonio's room. As I sat up I realized that I didn't remember how I got home from the café.

I placed my hand on my head as I let out a groan. I tried to get out of bed but instead fell to the ground. Why was I feeling so weak. I stood up again trying to stand but again fell only this time someone caught me before I could hit the ground.

"Why did you get out of bed" Roberto asked as he picked me up and placed me on the bed.

"My head hurts Roberto, how did I get here" I asked and he took my hand in his.

"You fainted outside the store after talking to your parents and Antonio brought you here" he said as I tried to stay awake.

"Where is Antonio" I asked and he hesitated before answering.

"He is down stairs, your parents came by to see how you were doing and Antonio is talking to them" he said forcing a smile.

"Why do I feel so weak" I asked.

"We had to give you an injection to keep you asleep because you haven't been sleeping well these couple of days" he said and I slowly nodded.

"I want to go down stairs" I said and he looked surprised.

"You need to be resting I will send your parents up-" I cut him off before he continued.

"Roberto I want to go down stairs will you help or will i have to do it myself " I asked sternly.

"I'll help you" he said then picked me up bridal style.

I placed my head on his chest as I tried to fight back the medicine. Even if I wasn't sleeping properly did they really have to drug me when I fainted.

Roberto took me down stairs and i kind of never wanted to leave his arms. They were inviting and cozy, just like Antonio's. It was amazing how I enjoyed Antonio's touch.

" you are really cozy, I could just sleep in your arms all day "I said and he chuckled.

" why don't you "he asked and I slightly laughed.

" Fran would kill me for taking her place and Antonio would kill you for taking his place for the day "I said and he chuckled again.

" I could take Antonio"he said and I smiled.

"Don't you dare to beat up my Antonio because you won't be able to handle my anger" I said and he stopped walking.

"That I gotta see" he said as he put me down so I stood on my feet.

"Try it and you will regret ever saying that" I said and he put his hand up in surrender.

"Yes ma'am. Do you want me to go in with you or are you good" he asked and I thought for a moment.

"You go back to Fran, I'll be heading to Antonio's room with him in a while" I said and he nodded.

"OK take care and walk carefully" he said then placed a kiss on my head before he left.

I walked into the living area and found Antonio talking to my parents. They were asking him about the way I was abused and he was telling them bits about it, leaving out something like they were drug dealers.

"An-Antonio" I called feeling a little dizzy as I held on to a table for support.

"Isabel" Arnold said as he walked up to me and helped me keep my balance.

"Kitten are you OK" Antonio asked and I nodded in response.

"I feel dizzy, it's like the room is spinning" I said holding onto Arnold's hand for support.
