Chapter 64: joining forces

♦ Antonio's POV♦

"Have some soup" kitten said but I shook my head.

"I'm not hungry" I said and she frowned making her even more cute.

She told me everything that happened in the hospital. The gang was in and out of my room each checking up on me. They all went to grab something to eat but kitten stayed back.

My Mom was getting a check up because she was still weak and my dad was escorting her said kitten.

After she told me about everything,I was both relived and worried,well at least the poison was no longer a big problem. What if my grandfather went to drastic measures to ensure the contract isn't found.

"But you haven't eaten anything" she said playing the bowel next to my bedside.

"But I hate hospital food kitten" I said.

"It was made by your Mom not the hospital canteen" she said and I gave her a smile after she let out a cute yarn.

"Go get some sleep my love" I said and she shook her head.

"I'm fine Antonio" she said giving me a sleepy smile.

"But-" I was cut off by my parents walking in.

"I'll give you some privacy" kitten said then walked out of the room.

"Mom,dad" I said and they both rushed to me engulfing me in a bone crashing hug.

"I'm so sorry,I didn't know" my mom cried as the both of them pulled away.

"Mom don't cry" I said noticing her blood shot eyes.

"Antonio why didn't you tell us that son of a bitch poisoned you"father asked trying his best not to sound angry.

" father, mother I'm sorry for worrying you. I know it was wrong and immature of me "I said.

"No son, we are just happy you're awake" dad said and mom nodded.

"Don't ever scare me like that. I know I have a lot of Short comings as your mother but I swear to try harder" mom said making me remember what I said to her.

"Mom I'm sorry,you know you're my super Mom please don't take what I said to heart" I said grabbing her hands in mine.

"Honey but you said nothing wrong, I failed you as a mother" she said making me hate myself more for ever saying such a thing to her.

"Mom if you failed as a mother then I also failed as a son because I'd failed to keep you happy and smiling" I said and she wrapped her hands around me.

"Never say that,you've honored me and your father" Mom said and I wrapped my hands around her.

"That's because I wanted to thank you for not only giving me life but for making me into me. You've as well fulfilled every single duty of a mother. Come on mom you don't look as beautiful when you cry" I said and I heard her laugh lightly.

"You're such a flatter. I'm happy you're OK" she said as she pulled away and wiped her tears.

"Thanks for donating your blood to me" I said then lifted my left hand which had a tube jabbed into it allowing the red liquid to enter my body.

"It was no trouble. we can give you all the blood in our bodies if it means that you'd be completely healed" dad said with a smile.

"I'll be fine father" I said and Mom gently rubbed my arm.

"Honey, now that you're awake I'll won't give you reason to complain, so I've already sent Anna packing. She's half way to Mexico as we talk and I've forbid your grandfather from ever seeing you" Mom said making me give her a smile.
