Ash's P.O.V
After the match ended my eyes frantically searched the entire court for her, but with the massive crowd that was forming, my hopes were crushed. It was like searching for a needle in a haystack. I debated going into the crowd to search for her, until I heard the gym door squeaked open. I spun my head around to the direction , seeing the trace of her brown hair flowing behind her.

I shot up from my seat, ignoring the stares from Cole, before running over to the humongous crowd before me. There was no other way through other than the massive crowd, and I prayed that none of the girls will dragged me back into the crowd as I made my way through.

It barely took a minute before my shirt got pulled back by an unknown crowd of girls, making me tumble backwards. I watched desperately as the gym door disappear right before my eyes, as I got engulfed by the girls that now surrounded me, squealing. It wasn't long before the doors to the outside burst open, as I came tumbling out, tugging away the hands that caught my shirt as I tried my best to close the doors after me.

When everything finally seemed normal, I let out a sigh of relief, dusting myself to look more presentable as I continued my search for her. I stepped out onto the corridor, deciding to go left before I heard a thud from the other direction. I spun around, quickening my steps as a figure lay still in the distance, realizing it was her. I sped forwards, scooping her lifeless body into my arms, as I scanned her face. She looked dead, her face was already pale with remnants of her tears left behind on her cheek.

"Lyra, wake up." I called out, cupping her face as I shook her, praying she would open her eyes. And that's when I realized she wasn't even breathing at all.

"Fuck. fuck. fuck. Stay with me." I cursed under my breath as I carried her up, letting her arms wrap around my neck as I ran all the way to the nurse's office.

I felt a wave of relief fill myself as the nurse's office came into view, as I busted inside, surprising the nurse inside. Explaining everything to her, the both of us placed her on the bed, before I caught one last glimpse of her lifeless face before the nurse pulled the curtain around the bed closed.

It didn't take long for the teacher to finish, when she finally pulled opened the curtains making me to shoot up from my seat.

"Is she okay?" I asked anxiously, peeping at the figure behind her.

"She's doing fine for now as it was only an asthma attack. But I have to go now since I'm starving so you can stay here and watch over her if you like." She smiled at me, giving me a amused look.

"Why are you looking like that?" I asked, weirded out.

"You like her don't you?" She mocked me, slipping off her gloves as a smirk appeared on her lips.

"I don't-" I began.

"Oh trust me, that's what every guy says." She stopped me, giving me a wink. Untying her hair, she slipped off her coat and hanged it over her chair.

"I'll be back soon, so take good care of her." She narrowed her eyes at me , and left.

There was silence in the room for a few seconds, before I shuffled over to her bed, taking a chair with me. Scanning my eyes over her face, a wave of guilt washed over me, making me frustrated at myself for not stopping her when she got hurt. I buried my face into my hands, different emotions washing over me as the scene replayed over in my head.

I wasn't always like this, worrying over some girl. But she was different from other girls, and I knew it. She was weird, yet special and I can't help but feel different around her.
