Lyra's P.O.V
"Hey! Can you not hear me?" A voice snapped, and I glanced up to glare at her whilst clenching my fist.

"Mind your own business Cassie." I gritted my teeth, my patience with her slowly running out.

She scoffed, her arm around Jayden's getting tighter as she desperately tried to rub herself against his arm.

"I didn't expect to see you soon Lyra." He smiled at me creepily, sending shivers at my spine. I gulped nervously, feeling deja vu as I recalled back the time at the dessert shop with Ash.

Cassie seemed to noticed my uncomfortableness, making her smirk widely.

"Well, Jayden here told me you guys were a thing before. Isn't that right, babe?" She fluttered her eyes, knowing saying that would make an impact on me.

But she was trying way too hard to rub it in me.

"Well I still have my sandwich left, want those leftovers too?" I smiled sweetly at her, making her jaw drop.

"You bitch-"

"Shut the fuck up Cassie."

My eyes widened, as I turned peered seeing Ash standing behind us with a angry look on his face.

"I was wondering why you were taking so long so I came here," He huffed, walking towards us.

"But I didn't know you would be with these, filthy people." He spat, grabbing my hand.

"Why Ash, we meet again." Jayden's smug voice came around, causing Ash to narrow his eyes at him.

"What do you want Jayden?" He asked curtly, keeping a fixated glare at him.

"Oh nothing," He started off, smirking.

"Just wondering if you had fun banging her. Because come on, everyone knows you-"

"If you say another word Jayden, you're fucking dead." He growled, his grip on my hand getting tighter as the tension in the air started getting worst.

"Ooo, we're getting feisty now aren't we?" His smirk got wider, the anger radiating off Ash every second.

"Stop it, Jayden." I cut him off, glaring at him before Ash started getting physical.

"Stop what?" He asked innocently in a sick voice.

"Let's go." Ash murmured stopping me from answering, dragging me behind me as I tumbled after him leaving the both of them behind. I felt relieved knowing it was over, but as I turned around, I didn't miss the look of amusement on Jayden's face as we left.

Ash never let go of my hand until we left the arcade, and I was thankful for it. Ash knew, and it was nice of him to stand up for me with Jayden around. There was silence waiting for us as we headed back to his car, with me constantly looking down at the ground, kicking tiny pebbles on the way. Glancing up at Ash's broad figure, I can't help but smile at just now when Ash helped me. It seemed he always was there for me whenever I needed it, and I was grateful for it.

As the both of us stepped in his car, the smell of fresh mint filled my nose making me breathe in deeply. I sat down, realizing Ash had already strapped on his seat belt and had his hand on the gear, preparing to push it down to drive in reverse.

"Thanks, for just now." I mumbled, fumbling with the hem of my clothes.

"He deserved it." He replied, leaning back into his seat. But I knew he meant something else by his words as I gave him a small smile before leaning back into my seat.
