[Sanchez on the Side]
Naya Brown;
"Bash," I said, shaking Sebastian for the fourth time. It was 2 in the morning and something was going on downstairs that I couldn't help but hear. I sure as hell wasn't getting up to check downstairs, that's what gets white people killed in movies. TJ was sleeping peacefully in the center of us right under Sebastian's arm. I slapped Bash in the face and he blinked his eyes open, moving carefully so he wouldn't wake Terrence.
"What the heck Naya." he whispered holding his cheek.
"If you weren't a heavy sleeper, it wouldn't have happened! I heard something downstairs."
"What did you hear?"
"I don't know! Go check." I said.
"We have an alarm system, it would've went off if something was downstairs." he said kissing TJ's cheek.
"I don't care, go check." I said. He groaned and left out the room putting his shirt on. Terrence, feeling him move, decided to wake up and burst out crying. "No, baby, no. What's wrong? You can't be hungry. No, baby boy." I said kissing him in my arms. I sat up and decided I might as well get up as well as Bash, I got Terrence's small blanket, wrapping him in it, then getting up to find out what was wrong.
I went down the stairs slowly and saw Bash drinking some orange juice. I had TJ to my chest, holding on for dear life; the boy was almost 1 and clinging on to me like he was 2 months. "What did you see?" I asked.
"Nothing, so I got me some juice, guess I'm up for the day." he said finishing the drink.
"Well, Terrence wasn't happy when you left so now, you're on baby duty for tonight."
I handed TJ to Bash earning a look, and poured more of the OJ in the cup, drinking myself. I sat it down before noticing something on the ground a few feet from us. I looked harder and noticed it was a tiny snake. Still a snake.
"Bash,"
"At least daddy loves you TJ, mommy likes taking daddy's things." he spoke putting his fingers through TJ's hair.
"Dadda-"
"Bash-"
"Naya chill, he's calling me daddy now. Let's record this moment and release it to the media for more publicity."
"Sebastian Martinez, there is a snake on the floor and I will leave if you don't get it right now." I said taking Terrence back. He walked to where I was and picked it up, showing it to me, way to close. TJ seemed to be mesmerized by it and reached for it. I pulled him back as Bash turned off the alarm and threw it outside, then coming back in and locking the door.
"Fixed, give me my son," the doorbell interrupted him and we both looked at eachother. Who in the hell would be here this late at our door?! "Hold on, bebe."
TJ kept his eyes on Bash as he looked through the peephole and opened the door.
"Why the hell are you here?" he said to the figure.
"Look, I know you probably don't want to see me but listen-"
"Why? You're not shit to me?"
"Who's at the door Bash?" I asked. I moved around the corner to recognize Sanchez Dicaprio. But why and how? The neighbors barely talk to Bash because he's a celebrity and comes with baggage, yet Sanchez is here at the door?
"Someone who shouldn't be." he replied.
"Listen man, I don't want anymore beef with you. I just stopped by because I got into town and needed a place to crash at for a few days until I catch my flight to Brazil." he said. Bash sighed and let him enter. "Naya?" he said. I didn't say anything; his eyes traveled from me to TJ who's was falling asleep again.
