Part 29- Mistake!

Belle's POV

I was in shock! 

Was Jack joking?

Girlfriend!

GIRLFRIEND?!!!

Lydia is Jack's girlfriend! 

I can't believe this is happening! 

"Con, can you have Belle tonight?!" Jack asked. "Me and Lydia want to spend some time just the two of us!"

Is he kidding?!

All he does is spend time with Lydia.

Sorry Jack, where have you been all day? That's right; with Lydia! What about me?!

"Um yeah but i'll have to bring her back early for Jade!" Conor said. 

"Oh yeah" Jack said. "Actually, can she do the tutoring at yours? Me and Lydia are spending the day together!"

I sighed and went into my room to pack some things. I'm used to packing a bag to stay the night at Conor and the others' now; i'm always doing it.

Conor's POV

It really annoyed me when Jack asked if Belle could stay the night at mine. But it annoyed me even more to hear that she'll need to do tutoring with Jade at mine since Jack is spending the whole day with Lydia tomorrow. I love Belle, she's my niece, but I hate the fact that Jack isn't having anything to do with her. I can't even remember the last time Jack has actually talked to Belle, and when she tries to talk to him, he goes into another room to talk to Lydia. This is ridiculous! And now Lydia is Jack's girlfriend! It's only going to get worse.

Whilst I was thinking, I saw Lydia go into Belle's room. She better not say anything horrible to Lydia! I don't like Lydia! The boys don't like Lydia! Belle doesn't like Lydia! Only Jack likes Lydia! And it's ruining everything!

Belle's POV

As I was packing, the door opened, but as I had my back facing it, I couldn't see who was coming in. I presumed it was Conor seeing if I was nearly done. It wouldn't be Jack; he's far too busy spending time with Lydia!

"I'm nearly done!" I said, without turning around.

"Don't bother coming back!"

I turned around to see Lydia, smirking.

"What?!" I asked.

"You're not wanted here!" she spat, viciously. "You're not even his daughter!"

Those words shattered my heart. I've felt like i'm not Jack's daughter for a while, but hearing it come out Lydia's mouth makes me feel ten times worse. I've always known i'm not Jack's biological daughter, and that's ok. But before Lydia came along, he made me feel like it. 

I had tears in my eyes.

"Hit a nerve have I?!" Lydia smirked.

I grabbed my stuff and ran out.

"Ready kiddo?!" Conor asked.

I nodded and headed to the door. Lydia sat on the sofa next to Jack, distracting him by kissing him.

Jack wasn't even planning to say anything to me. No goodbye! Nothing!

Conor sighed.

"Jack, you gonna say bye?!" he asked.

But Jack didn't. Him and Lydia just carried on kissing.

Conor guided me out the house, with his hand on the small of my back.

Jack adopting me was a mistake!

I'm the mistake!

I'm his mistake!
