Chapter 21

Chapter 21:

I layed down with my eyes closed. I kept taking deep breaths and felt tears streaming down my face.

I opened my eyes. A figure walked towards me a wiped the tears off my eyes. It was Harry, i could tell by his scent. We always would hang out and give eachother hugs. Or when it was cold he would give me his jacket, even when we were really little. So i knew what he smelled like.

I couldnt help but cry, i couldnt stop crying for more than 3 seconds. But every now and then, Harry would wipe the tears from my eyes.

I sat up in the hospital bed and Harry sat down next to me. He put his arm around my shoulder and whispered "It's okay beautiful, i love you." in my ear.

"i love you too." i said softly. "I..i have a question.."

"what?" Harry answered me.

"w-what do..my eyes..look like?" i asked, as he wiped the tears from my eyes again.

"they look like they did before you got the lazer eye surgery..but a bit worse.." Harry was crying, you could hear it in his voice.

"and one more thing..." i added.

"yeah?" Harry asked, wiping tears from his own eyes now.

"i love you." i took a deep breath.

"i love you too Alexis. And i hope you will stay as my girlfriend for the rest of my life and the rest of your life. You will always be my angel eyed beauty." Harry said, playing with my hair.

I was speachless. "Aw..that was really sweet. I dont quite know what to say.."

We heard movement in the bed next to me. "Liam! Are you okay?" i asked energeticly.

"Yeah.." a voice said weakly from across the room, "are you fine?"

"Kind of...i cant see that well...." i said, looking in Liam's direction.

"AGAIN?" Liam said loudly.

"yeah.." i answered.

Liam turned over in his hospital bed. "OW! Ahh, my arm..." he sounded like he was in a lot of pain.

A nurse ran in the room. "Excuse me! Are you okay? We heard you outside the room!"

"My arm hurts really badly...." he said in a softer tone.

"I will bring you to the x ray room!" she said, wheeling his bed out of the room.

"Maybe you guys could have matching casts!" Louis said, trying to cheer me up by being funny. Me and Harry both smiled weakly.

Another nurse walked in. "Hello Alexis. How are you doing?"

"i cant see...everything is really blurry!" i looked up at her.

"it looks like that..we could give you lazer eye surgery but you would need the money, the insurance wont cover it...let me know what you will do, okay?" she said softly and walked out of the room.

We sat there and looked around the room. Then, my phone started ringing. It's my aunt, she never calls me...

"H-hello?" i said nervously. I had stopped crying though, thats good.

"I have bad news Lexi.....Your mom had a heart attack from smoking so much..." tears ran down my face. "She...she sadly passed away...."

"Where am i supposed to live now? Im in the hospital for now but still! You live 14 hours away so that wouldnt work! And i have pretty much no family left!" Harry and Lou looked at me, confused.

"i dont know...let me know whats going on, okay? You can text me. I love you sweetheart." she hung up.

I took a deep breath and looked over at Louis and Harry. "Carrie passed away. She had a heart Attack from smoking so much. I have no place to live now!" i was crying really hard. My life keeps getting worse!

"You can live with me and Louis! Consider us family." Harry hugged me. And Lou walked over and hugged me too. He sat down on the other side of me.

"It's okay Alex, when everyone else is gone, you have us. Always and forever." Lou said smiling.

"Exactly." Harry said, hugging me.

"Hazza?" i said a little louder. I had always called him Hazza or Haz when we were kids, its his nickname.

"Yeah..?" he responded quietly.

"What day is it..?" how long had i been asleep for? I woke up today but what is todays date?

"It's August 30th." he said clearly.

"There's a week until school," Lou added, "but even better... This year, i'm going to school with you guys.

I smiled at them and rested my head on Harry's shoulder. He is probably the best boyfriend EVER. i love him so much. I closed my eyes and i fell asleep without thinking about it.
