Chapter 27

Chapter 27:

"Lou.." I said quietly.

"A-Alexis!" He looked up quickly and wiped his tears, as if he were trying to make it seem like he wasnt crying.

"What's wrong? What happened? Are you okay?" I replied.

"What? Yeah, of course i'm fine..w-what makes you think i wouldn't be?" Lou tried hiding he fact that he was sad behind a smile as he finished saying that.

"I saw you crying..." I looked at the ground and then looked back up at Lou, "what happened?" I sat down on the stairs next to him.

"Oh! Right! Umm... I'd rather not talk about it right now.... Could i tell you later Lexi?" He looked at Harry, scared and then looked at me again.

"Uh yeah, sure." I want to know what happened. I dont get why he cant tell me right now. Is it Harry? Or is he just too sad to talk about it? I guess ill find out, but i really wanna know what is bothering him.

"Alright, thanks," He smiled at me and stood up, "but i gotta go..ill talk to you later!" He ran down the street and i watched him, curiously.

Harry walked over to me and hugged me. "I have to go too, ill see you later, love." He placed a kiss on my cheek and drove home.

I walked inside and walked upstairs. I sat on my bed and took out my guitar. I started playing a random tune that popped into my head.

I sat there playing a random tune for at least an hour. Then, i got up and sat in a chair, looking out the window.

I started playing Paradise by Coldplay on my guitar.

"When she was just a girl she expected the world but it flew away from her reach so she ran away in her sleep to a para-para-paradise.. Para-para-paradise, to a para-para-paradise every time she closed her eyes..." I sang while staring out my window.

After playing that song, i started playing Love Song by Sara Barellies.

"Head under water, you tell me to breath easy for a while. The breathing gets harder, even i know that," i thought i heard someone walking in the hall, but i ignored it and kept singing, "blank stares at blank pages, theres no easy way to say this. You did me well, but you make this hard on me. I'm not gonna write you a love song, cause you asked for it, cause you need one. You see, im not gonna write you a love song, cause you tell me it's make or break in this and you're on your way, i'm not gonna write you to stay. If all you have is leaving imma need a better reason to write you a love song today..."

"That was lovely.. You're a really good singer" a voice came from my door.

I turned around and saw Lou walking towards me, smiling.

"Thanks," i smiled, "um i didnt know you were coming over, sorry about my house being a mess and stuff.."

"It okay, and yeah..sorry for not telling you that i was coming over." He said, looking at the floor.

"Its okay" i smiled at him.

"You look really beautiful Lexi" Lou smiled and stepped closer to me as i stood up.

"Thank you" i smiled shyly.

"No problem" Lou smiled and walked up to me and hugged me.

I smiled and moved away from the hug slowly, and then realized he was still holding onto my waist.

He looked down at where i was looking and then realized he didnt let go. "Oh um sorry about that..." He pulled his hands away from me.

"Oh, n-no its okay.." I smiled lightly.

"Alright." He smiled at me and sat on the bed.

I sat down next to him and looked at him, realizing that he was still upset.

"Lou....so whats wrong?" I asked, looking at his frown.

"Uh.....well... I-I was with Niall, a-and i walked into my living room to find Eleanor talking about you to Veronica....... Talking BAD about you..... And," a tear fell down his cheek and i wiped his tear as he continued, "and... And then she realized i walked in the room and that i heard her... And she... She..... I stuck up for you..... And she got all mad at me.... Really mad... And then she asked why she should stop bad-mouthing you.... And thenn the truth came out..... I replied straight out how i felt and.... I said i loved you and i had a crush on you and that you were my bestfriend...... A-and she broke up with me...... I didn mean to tell her that...... But i do love you... And i.. I... Just please dont tell Harry....." He stared at the ground, letting tears race down his face.

"I... I love you too.....but we cant tell Harry....we'll just say that El broke up with you, thats all.." I looked at Lou, wiping his tears. He smiled at me and wrapped his arms around me.

I've always liked him, but i just kept it a secret.. I didnt think he liked me too.. Wow

I smiled as he hugged me and rested my head on his shoulder. He stopped crying and just kept smiling the whole time. He couldn stop smiling, but I couldnt stop smiling either.

Now that i think about it, i kind of think i like Lou more than Harry. Love is very confusing, i have no clue who to be with. But i kind of want to break up with Harry... I dont know, im just gonna think about it.

I smiled and fell asleep in Lou's arms.
