Chapter 31

Chapter 31:

I stood up from my chair. I started walking towards the hall with the operation rooms, nervously. I looked back towards Lou who was sleeping. I looked around for nurses and doctors, there was no sight of anyone.

I ran through the doors and started running down the hallway, which seemed a little longer than usual. I peeked through every door untill i found Harry's room.

I ran into the room without a care in the world and saw a blanket over his body, a bit of curly hair sticking out at the top with a machine of his heart rate which was having a long beep and the screen looked like this : ____________

I broke out in tears and fell onto my knees beside the bed.

"No! Why?! He's my best friend! And now he's dead... I.. I can't believe this..." I said quietly to myself.

I sat on the floor and brought my knees up to my chest, crying hysterically. I started rocking back and forth as i heard footsteps running down the hall.

In the faint distance, i heard a voice. "Alexis!" the voice repeated over and over. "Lexi!!" The voice became louder.

I opened my eyes and saw Lou saying my name, trying to wake me up. I looked at him and burst out in tears.

"But Harry!! H-he can't be-" Louis interrupted me, "Alexis, calm down.. You were asleep. Nothing happened. It's alright, Harry will be out of the surgery soon."

"B-but that couldn't be a dream! That was so real! I-it had to be real!!" I exclaimed.

"Alexis, whatever you're talking about, it was a dream. Calm down, nothing happened." He looked me dead in the eyes, nodding lightly.

"O-okay..." I said, wiping my tears, thinking of this so-called 'dream'.

That was one VERY realistic dream, my dreams are usually odd. They're never that realistic! Usually they're about me living in a cloud with magical flying unicorns or something! I don't know! But i've never had a dream that was that real..

This is just freaky. I NEED to see Harry as soon as i can.

Louis hugged me and i rested my head on his shoulder, sighing.

"So you never told me what happened and why Harry had to be brought to the hospital." Louis reminded me.

"Uh r-right.. Um well i checked in the basement and he was laying on the floor, c-crying with his hand over his mouth. And there was blood everywhere! And he..." I stopped for a minute, clearing my throat and trying to stop crying, "he told me that a man.. A man came into his house with a gun.. And he shot him in the back and punched him in the mouth... And i just don't know what to do.. I feel horrible!"

"Don't feel horrible, love. It's not your fault." Louis reassured me.

I nodded lightly as a doctor walked into the waiting room.

"Alexis and Louis?" She asked, looking around the room.

We stood up. "Right here.." Louis said softly.

"Harry just got out of surgery, follow me. You can see him." She turned around and walked to his room. We followed her there and walked inside.

I ran over to the bed and stared at him, crying silently.

"He's drugged over so he doesn't feel much pain, so he will be staying over night and he might be a little uh.. out of it." She nodded.

"Okay, thank you." I nodded, not taking my eyes off of Harry.

"Harry.. H-how do you feel? Are you okay?" I asked, scared.

"Mmmmhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm.. Ha what happened?" He smiled.

"You got shot in the back and had surgery to get the bullet removed.." I said softly.

"Ha ohhhhh," he replied, "that's weird, i don't remember that."

I nodded lightly and looked at Louis. Lou walked over to the hospital bed and looked at Harry, not saying anything. A tear fell down his face. "I love you lad.." He said softly.

"I wuv wew toooooooooooo" Harry giggled.

Me and Lou smiled at eachother and Louis wrapped his arm around me. We stood there, smiling at Harry.

"I love you" Louis whispered to me.

"I love you too" i whispered back, smiling.

"OOOOOOHH! SECRETSSSSSS!" Harry exclaimed.

We all started laughing and me and Lou sat on the end of the hospital bed.
