Chapter 13 Rayleta's Decision

Rayleta woke up an hour later from the medicine wearing off. She sat up in the bed thinking to herself. Then she walked over to her desk. Thinking about what could happen if she had moved. Rayleta decided to go for a wake to clear her head. She headed downstairs and noticed everyone was glued to the books.

She grew a slight confusion. Before She took a jacket that was by the door. Rayleta noticed the house was still covered in vines. Her heart felt in different. The reason for this feeling was suddenly her wish to be free. Maybe if she could leave, it would protect them all. She looked at the house and closed her eyes. Her hands lifted in the air.

Her voice spoke differently, " Release and wither amend those broken branches." Once the vines transformed part of the house was different. Her eyes had opened to watch. There was a mist all around. From the rain. Simply times can change everything. Especially when everything going on. After the spell had stopped the house looked made of the branches. She then turned and started to walk down the road.

Sand realized what time it was and decided to take a break. He had gotten up and walked into the kitchen to get something to drink. He realized some of the branches were shaped to be with the house and not crushing it. He thought that was odd. He decided to see if Rayleta was up. Sand walked upstairs to see if she was. Sand noticed she wasn't there. He quickly rushed downstairs.

" Hey guys has any of you seen Rayleta she isn't upstairs?" He asked catching everyone's attention.

Rain looked over at the guys and then back at Sand."No I honestly haven't gotten the chance to even check on her." She replied.

Sky said," I haven't seen her she could be outside."

" hmm I could go look maybe she went for a walk.I mean it possible. There is a path near by I have seen her walk on a lot." Lux said.

Rayleta happened to take that path and walk through the forest. She often took it to clear her head. As well as just to get a fresh air. She noticed some tracks the further she got into the forest. She decided to follow them which she noticed branched off to a couple pathways. Rayleta decided to follow it. Which at the end she didn't expect her path to have a wonderful ending. There at the end of the path rested a lovely cottage. It looked run down. She decided to go check it out. There was a stream flowing underneath the bridge. White picked face that could use some work. But she was still drawn to it. The house was covered with ivy and there was a delightful porch. With wooden rocking chair upon there.

The windows were like almost medieval like but none seem to be broken. The wooden shutters had paint peeled among them.She walked across the yard. It looked like the yard had a garden. But the flowers around the house could use some love. Her heart felt like she belonged here. Rayleta had opened the door since it was slightly opened anyway. But she made sure she wasn't walking into anyone home.

" Hello anyone home? I don't mean to barge in. " She said calling out.

No sound or voice was heard. As she slowly walked in she noticed the house was dark. As well as things falling apart. Furniture was covered. There seemed to be a lot of dust as well. She could feel this place was full of sadness and she could even feel the floors creaking. Sand's eyes looked at everyone that passed glances at each other.

" Well I'm going to find her and see what she is up to. She can't have gone far." Said Sand.

Lux replied putting the book he had down," I will come join you. I am sure she is around here somewhere You two stay here just in case she comes back."

Rain comment," Alright be careful you two I am sure there is danger still lurking out there since the church incident."

Lux and Sand nodded both and exchanged a quick look at each other. Then they both decided to split up and search for Rayleta . Sand knew she wasn't to far away. He could sense her close by. Lux decided to check the beach and the coves near by. Sand followed Rayleta's scent for quite a while till he was finally at the cottage himself. Lux continued to walk along the beach looking out and calling. Rayleta continued to explore the house. Sand came inside as she headed carefully upstairs.
