 Chapter 15. Sandalora and Whom?

Rayleta was always jealous of the fact that Sand was attracted to other women. He was quite a handsome guy. Especially that it felt more of a reality then a dream. Sand could sense it before they woke up from the nightmare.

Sand seemed to wake up but only just. To hearing of birds chirping. He noticed that he fell asleep in the chair. So he decided to get up and open the window. Smelling the fresh morning , it was crisp with pin scent from the forest. Sand's ears twitched to a sound. He noticed it was coming downstairs. So he decided to head downstairs. Rayleta happened to be making breakfast.

She wasn't looking at him. He noticed the plates were set and she was humming. As if she distracting herself. She then pointed off to the counter.

" There are eggs and flapjacks over on the count if you want some." She said rather snappy. Before she took some fruit and sat at the table. Sand sighed and grabbed a plate. He could sense that she was unhappy. He then sat next to her as he noticed she was stabbing at her fruit.

" How did you sleep last night?' He asked trying to get her attention.

Rayleta grunted as she stabbed her pancake. " I was ....out like a light." She said. She was avoiding eye contact with him. Still focusing on her plate.

Sand could sense she was more disappointed." Honey , You know I am here to protect you." He explained eating his eggs.

Rayetta stopped stabbing them and said," I am aware of that, I just want the image in my head to go away. Its painful."

" Your talking about the dream last night. I know it was painful for me to do it. You sure you're going to be ok? You know I am here for you." comment Sand.

" I am aware of that.I just have a feeling this won't be the end of this chaos." She said. Rayleta got up and cleaned up the food and put away material. She stored it in the ice chest that they had. Using magic to keep it cold.

Rayleta then went upstairs and looked in her book case. She managed to find a book with pages of maps. Sand looked up and then sighed. Before he took his plate and washed it. He then went upstairs to find her sitting on the floor. Looking at these maps that were in her shelf.

" What are you doing?" He asked sitting on the floor in front of her. She then looked up at him.

" I am trying to find a route to see if there are any nearby cities and hike pathways. It looks like the closest is Sandalora. " She said.

Sand replied," Needing a change of scenery and pace of things. Maybe there is a market there. "

" I want to explore as many options as possible and maybe find ways to fight this chaos. If its going to continue I want to be ready." she said standing up.

Sand smiled as he got up as well. He knew his princess would be a strong one. She wouldn't go down without fighting for what's right.

" Well there's that tough girl I fell for." He said grabbing hold of her giving her a kiss on the cheek.

She smiled and then went to get ready. They packed a small lunch and then headed out.

They didn't know what was ahead of then.

Within this Sandalora city there was another person so distraught but very similar. She was someone who knew of the prophecy. She wasn't from this world. But she was not dangerous. This woman goes by the name of Zarkica. She was entrapped in this realm due to old lovers betrayal.

Zarkica sat on the edge of the building sensing the towns movement. She could only feel the vibrations of the city due to being blind. It was quiet peaceful despite what disaster she had been through. Zarkica gained the sight of the blind from a heartbreaking past. As she sat there listening to a peaceful hustle bustle below. There was a sudden disturbance near by. Very familiar as well.
