*crunch*
"Maybe we should've stayed on the main road instead of cutting through the woods."
*crunch*
"Go figure."
*crunch*
My foot collided with more twigs and leaves causing more of them to crunch under my boots. Rick walked in front of me, with a hop in his step, he seemed eager to get farther and farther away from where we were camped out with everyone. It was sensitive spending time with him. I hardly remember anything that happened the night we came back from the city. The first night I had to spend without Merle in the group. That night was when I stopped talking to Rick, he got more distant and maybe it was better that way. Daryl gave in and talked to Rick but he didn't want anything to remind him of before.
Rick comes to a quick stop.
"What."
"Hold on... d'ya hear that?" Rick opens his hands and holds them at his waist.
What're you goin' on 'bout?"
*THUD*
"FUCK"
I'm thrown to the ground and held down restrained, I freak out and flail my arms around trying to get a hit before I look up at Rick laughing.
"What the hell rick?! You can't ever just leave me alone huh?"
Rick pushed me against the tree behind me, pinning me with his body. Which is surprisingly stronger than mine leaving me fuckin' helpless. Bastard.
"You're right... I can't leave you alone." He says, his face less than a centimeter away from my face. He pulls back, freeing me and starts laughing again. "Should've seen the way you freaked though!"
"Shut the hell up Rick Grimes."
Rick looked up at Daryl and sighed a bit. "Don't have to be so formal Daryl. How about old times? What happened to Officer Friendly? Remember that Dixon?"
"I try my best not to." Daryl walked forward past Rick, hitting his side with a light nudge.
"Come on Daryl don't do this again."
"Do what? Try not to remember those fuckin' lies I fell into?" Daryl's voice cracked on the last word and he wiped a tear from his eye trying to hide that part from Rick. "Whatever. It's whatever." He turned back around and walked again. "Can we do the job we came out here to fuckin' do?"
"Yeah. I'm sorry, the runs taking a while since we haven't found much, I figured we'd have fun with it. I'm sorry." Rick kept his head down and walked next to Daryl. He didn't want to piss him off anymore. Rick was still with Lori, he loved her, but he felt a way for Daryl that no one could surpass. He wanted to take care of Daryl, he wanted to make sure he was happy. But Daryl made that pretty hard for anyone.
They walked in silence for a while until they found a small neighborhood consisting of maybe around five small houses. "Let's try the one on the left." Daryl muttered under his breath.
Ricks POV
I walked behind Daryl into the small blue house. Inside there was a long couch and a small box t.v. There was a kitchen and a bathroom but it all seemed to be in the same room, the house was so small. Daryl sat himself on the couch and I followed suit. "Hey. I'm sorry if I crossed the line. I got too comfortable."
"It's fine Rick."
"No really, I didn't want to over step your grounds-"
"RICK. DAMNIT. ITS...fine." Daryl yelled, then sighed and put his hands in his palms, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees."
I just observed. When he yelled at me his veins around his neck tightened, maybe I'm straining him to much.
"Rick. You're like a little girl. You keep bugging me, annoying me f'r attention. Just... Fuck off for a bit okay? What if I wanted to deal with this bag of shit you handed me by myself? Huh? HUH?" Daryl stood up and kicked a bottle across the floor.
"Daryl, come here". I said while standing up to face his back, where he had turned from me.
"Fuckin' Grimes don't push it."
"DARYL." I grabbed his shoulder and spun him around and kissed him.
Daryl's pov
He kissed me roughly with one hand snaked around my waist and the other on my cheek. Our mouths moved in synchronization.
This all reminded me so faintly of the high-school-feeling romance we had before all of this. Before I knew about Lori...
By now he had his mouth on my neck and his hand scratching at my back. I pushed him away and he got the message quickly. "Rick. Do you ever think about anyone but yourself?"
I could see the sudden sting in his eye. Did I go too far? That couldn't have hurt his uppity ass feelings. I turned around and walked away.
"No." I heard him say, I kept walking.
"NO." He grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back to him. "You don't fucking get to walk away from me! I LOVED YOU TOO. I still love you... A-and maybe that's something I'm tryin' to get rid of but I fucking can't. And I'm trying to talk to you. I'm trying so hard, I'm trying to be normal but damnit Dixon, you're so goddamn difficult."
At this point I knew he understood. He's been going through the same thing I have, maybe I'm the selfish one. I walked towards him and put my head on his shoulder while wrapping my arms around him. He felt the same as before, looked almost the same. The weird thing, his smell never changed. He still smells the same as the first day I met him. Maybe a little bit dirtier but the same. "I missed this" I now realized that I said that out loud.
"I missed you." He wrapped his hands around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder. "I'm sor-"
"It's fine Rick." I pulled my head back and we looked at each other. My favorite part about this man, his eyes. Damn. I closed the space between us and put my hand on his neck pulling him into another rough kiss.
Rick picks me up from my legs and wraps them around his waist. He slaps my ass which makes my voice squeak, I look at him upset which obviously turns this son of a bitch on more. He gives me hickeys on my neck and trails his way down unbuttoning my shirt as he goes. He gets to my pants buckle and gets on his knees. He looks up at me and kisses the belt buckle. "Do you want me to fix you Daryl Dixon?"
I nod quickly already anxious and completely bothered by him teasing me.
He starts to undo my belt buckle and I start to feel completely lost in the way this man moves.
"Rick..?"
Lori.
His eyes shoot up and mine do too, he quickly backs away. "Lori, I-"
"No what the fuck?!" Lori yells before running back to camp.
Rick just sits there, on his knees wide-eyed and his jaw hanging. He looked like a slut.
Like a little bitch.
My little bitch.A/N- I just decided to make another little chapter for this book since you guys love it so much, tell me how you feel about this! It was a little bit different, it had a lot of emotion since that's where we left off. Tell me if you guys liked this! Should I do more?
