FOUR:A Trying Soldier

(a/n: theres been a small time hop in this. not much though. they've just moved from the place they were to a different camp so they can start doing missions and such. if you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about)
I wake up when my uniform hits my face, causing me to groan.
"Get up! Don't wanna be late for our first mission class." Amber says and I let out a sigh before sitting up and starting to get changed.
"I forgot you were an early bird." I glare at her.
"You thought wrong. I'm nowhere near an early bird," She laughs.
"I'm only up because I have to be. I haven't slept all night with the bombs going off anyway."
"Oh, I slept right through those." I laugh.
"I'm not surprised." She laughs and shakes her head.
"It's a peaceful sound to me!" I chuckle as I finish tying up my boots.
"No! Are you crazy?!" She looks at me weird.
"You already know the answer to that question." I deadpan.
"C'mon, or else we'll be late." I laugh and stand up, grabbing Fury's leash.
She laughs and opens the door for us.
"It's so bright!" She squints her eyes.
"It burns!" I say dramatically.
"Ah, same old, same old." She laughs and shakes her head, walking out behind me and shutting the door.
"Somethings never change." I shrug as we walk to the classroom.
We enter and quickly find a seat at the back of the classroom.
"Oh! While we wait, let me tell you all about the colonel I had to sleep with!" I exclaim and turn in my seat to face her.
I had told her a few days ago that I had gotten past basic training by sleeping with my colonel. To say she wasn't too surprised would be an understatement.
"You had to?" She quirks an eyebrow.
"Well, not really, But I knew it'd help my chances. He was hot, so I didn't mind." I shrug.
She sighs and drops her head into her hands.
"He was honestly very attractive. And hey, it got me to see my best friend again. So, win win" I laugh
The instructor comes in, but we continued to talk quietly, only making it look like we were listening.
"Yeah, but you didn't know that at the time," She whispers.
