Stephen's P.O.V
I land on the Wakandan grass behind Thor and step forward. I see her, my daughter, my pride, joy, everything, she's kneeling on the ground ten metres away, clutching her head in her heads in pain as she screams, crying. Thor sees me and motions for me to stop.
"It's not-," he starts.
"Safe? Trust me, I know my own daughter," I tell him and he nods finally. I walk one step forward, the Avengers all watching intently behind me. "Lianna? Lianna, honey, it's me, it's Dad," I say as I take another step forward. I notice her icy-blue hair start to float around her and I glance around warily. She's making everything spin around her and I, like a hurricane of some sort. Bits of stone and grass spin around, quickly gaining speed. I don't stop moving and step forward again. She keeps screaming. God, this really hurts me so much to see her like this.
"Dad," she screams in pain, wailing. It's the stones, they're tearing her apart. Her body isn't used to using that much power all at once, she's being split apart from inside. Why did I ever think putting the stones in her was a good idea? "Dad, help me," she cries.
"Honey, I got you," I rush forward and just when I nearly reach her, the ground around her freezes up. Icy cracks form around her and an invisible force holds her up. I take a step back in shock. "Lianna!" I yell as she hovers up in the air. This is unlike anything I've ever seen before. Dark clouds stir up in the sky as she's pulled up, straightening her body upright as light shines from her body. "LIANNA!" I yell in desperation. The stones were shining from inside her.
"IT'S HAPPENING! FINALLY!" Thanos appeared to walk into the hurricane as if it didn't hurt him at all. I look at him and feel every shade of anger there is.
"What did you do to my daughter," I scream at him, clenching my fists.
"Nothing, I only showed her the power she truly held," he smirks.
"It's KILLING HER," I point out in fury. Lianna's screaming has subsided, it's like she's growing tired. "What's happening to her?!"
"The stones are getting out of her, soon, she'll be nothing but a carcass wrecked beyond recognition," Thanos exclaims in a happy manner, excited even. I pull out my shields with Eldritch's Magic and stand in a ready position.
"You're sick," I say in distaste. "You're like a mad butcher in a crowd,"
"Yes, but she is the knife," he points out, turning to Lianna. Lianna's head droops a little. I throw a shield at Thanos and he skids across the ground, dirt flying. Lianna's arms start turning blue from the hand up. She's freezing up.
I throw a lasso at Thanos and it wraps around his waist, I fling him over my head and he goes through the hurricane, out of sight. I disperse the lasso and run towards my daughter.
"LIANNA!" I shout. She falls to her knees and I catch her just as she nearly hits the ground. "Lianna, Lianna, honey," I brush her hair away from her face and although my hand is burning at the coldness of her arms, I don't let go of her. Lianna's breathing heavily and cold puffs of air escape from her mouth. The glowing from before stopped and so did the hurricane. The Avengers stand a safe distance away from us and stare.
"D...Dad," she whispers, tears cracking her voice.
"I'm here, I'm right here, sweetheart," I say as I hold her closer in an attempt to warm her up. "I got you," Lianna coughs and leans into my chest.
"I'm sorry," she cries. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to do this," she grips onto my arm and shuts her eyes tightly, a habit she had when she was scared.
