When I woke up I realized I was no longer in the car. I was laying in the road, my head in Em's lap. My vision was blurring but I could make out a larger figure, a man? standing nearby talking to Em. She nodded slowly and I began to wonder what she was agreeing too.

The man bent down and wrapped his arms around me, picking me up bridal style. "Wait!" I called, immediately regretting it. I moved my hands quickly up to my ears as they began to ring. The man shushed me and I scowled, I didn't even know him and doubted he knew me, why'd he think he was so in charge.

He opened the door to his car and placed me in the passenger seat, buckled me as well. I was none to gentle when I slapped his hand and buckled myself. I don't care what he thinks of me but is he is going to have an opinion of it might as well be a good one. I can buckle myself.

Once he was in the car as well, I turned to look at him for the first time since my vision cleared. He had a slightly guarded expression as he looked straight ahead. His hair was a dirty blonde and styled to the right, it was fairly long and made me think of someone you'd see at a beach in California - yes I'm aware how stereotypical that is. His jawline was defined and his face was covered in a little bit of scruff. He obviously hadn't shaved recently. I began to look at his eyes when I suddenly began to feel my heart beat rush.

Once I realized what I'd gotten myself into I sat up straighter and grabbed the handle of the car door to steady myself. He glanced at me and then returned his gaze to the road. I immediately felt my face flush, turning an embarrassing shade of red. I looked down at my lap, reluctant to look at him again.

"I-uh um. I'm Marlo Evingston, " I hesitated, "what's your name?"

"Finn. Finn Austin."

"I-um I just..." I mentally kicked myself for studdering, "where are we going."

"Home," Finn answered.

Geez, what's up with him and his one-word answers?

"It would be great to know where home is exactly," I mumbled.

"Wyoming."

"Who in the world do you think you are to just kidnap me and take me halfway across the country?!"

Finn smirked, "Kidnap is a strong word," I had to admit his smirk fit him well.

I crossed my arms. "No, I think it's quite appropriate for our situation."

"I am not kidnapping you I'm taking you to a doctor."

"Hmm. That's a new one. I've never heard that as an excuse before. Plus I feel fine." I responded.

"Have you looked at yourself or done anything yet besides sit here?"

"Well, no but if I feel fine right now I'm sure it can't be that bad," I turned away from him focusing on the road in front of us.

I heard a low growl coming from the back of Finn's throat, and turned towards him startled. "I'm sorry that I'm trying to help," He stated.

I sank farther into my seat than before, looking out the window at the canyon walls as we drove.

...

I woke with a jolt realizing that Finn was carrying me towards a small building, that almost resembled a cottage. "Good you're up I was worried," I laid my head back on his shoulders, not oblivious to the warm tingles being in contact with him caused. He smiled gently to himself and I felt my face go red.  There was no way I was going to fall asleep again. If I forgot to mention this before but Finn was built. His muscles were well defined and every little movement ended in him flexing.
