I thumbed the spines of the books as I walked by intrigued when I came across a large section on Lycanthropy. Lycanthrope Civilization. Lycanthrope Genetic's. Lycanthrope Ceremonies. Judging from the number of books on the subject someone might think there was a whole other religion to go along with all the made-up knowledge.  I smiled to myself, "Mmm why not," I said. I pulled out a larger book in the same general area reading the cover. I sat down on one of the many couches. Stretching out and laying back as I thumbed through pages of book after book. Waiting for one of them to catch my interest. I walked back into the main room of the library startled when an older lady maybe in her fifty's was standing at the desk. She looked up from the book she was skimming through. Her eyes were a light gray and her hair was a gray blonde which was slightly curled.

"Oh, hello dear," she said looking back down at the book she had been reading.

"Hello, I'm sorry but I don't believe we have met," I said setting the book I had started reading a nearby shelf.

"Goodness me, I guess we haven't, have we?" She shut her book and walked around the desk, holding me at arm's length before enveloping me in a warm hug. "Well," she said backing away, "I'm Finn's mother, but you can call me Clarrisa."

"Um, well it's nice to meet you, Mrs. Austin," I smiled lightly. Finn must've taken after her. "I'm Marlo."

"Tsk, tsk," she said clicking her tongue, "The names Clarrisa. Clare for short please."

I nodded, "Would you mind if I borrowed a few of these books to read for later?" I asked gesturing to the books I had set on the nearby shelf.

"Of course not dear, your welcome to any of the books you like." Clare smiled softly as I walked out closing the door behind me.

I walked down the halls when I passed a room with an array of work-out equipment. I mentally noted where it was in case I wanted to go for a run later. I turned the corner to walk to my room when I smacked into someone. I felt my face flush and glanced up to see a tall man with broad shoulders standing shirtless in front of me. "I-I'm so sorry, I-I," I stuttered as I spoke trying to find words to apologize. The man continued to stare at me blank-faced. He pointed behind me towards the gym. I stood stock still as he side-stepped and walked past me.

"Rude," I mumbled under my breath. I walked watching the patterns in the tile.

"Who was rude?" The deep voice resounded off the walls from down the hallway. I looked up startled to see Finn standing there with a smirk plastered on his face. I felt my face turn beet red once again and opened my mouth to speak but was interrupted by another voice behind me.

"Mm I think if anyone was rude it was you, mister," I spun around to see Clarrisa walked down the hallway. "When were you gonna introduce me to the beautiful young lady?" she asked. Although it seemed impossible at this point I felt as my face turned a darker shade of red.

"I assume you've already met her mother?" Finn asked.

"Yes, I have. She's quite the dear," his mother replied.

"It was a rhetorical question," Finn mumbled under his breath. I was hardly close enough to hear it.

"I'm sorry did I just hear you talk back to me? And is it something you would like for me to hear?" His mother asked.

"Yes, mom, and no mom."

I laughed lightly to myself, I had never seen Finn so still or calm let alone humble. "I need you to teach me how to do this," I said after I had noticed Finn's glare, which I had assumed was directed at me and Clarissa's soft smile. She nodded.

"Anytime hun."

"We are moving on from this topic," Finn said holding back his temper, "I was just about to speak with Marlo." I turned and raised an eyebrow.

"Finn, darling I'm sure that your mother would love to hear what you have to say as well," I smiled innocently crossing my arms. Clarissa let out a small laugh.

"I agree with Marlo, I would like to hear this."

"I'm traveling to Europe and would like to know if you want to go with me," Finn said.

...

WAHH. I'm sorry took so long to get out and I would like to let you know that the whole Europe thing was last minute and random. But I like to keep things interesting. ;)
