Marlo's P.O.V.

We turned onto a large driveway leading to what I assumed was his actual house. When we finally pulled into the large circle drive I was overcome with awe. For being a kidnapper, he had a really nice house. In fact, nothing I say could justify how beautiful it was. The property sat on a lake, with smooth river stones around the base of the home. Light oak wood paneled the rest of the house. The main doors were large and made of oak. The windows each had shutters of a darker shade of natural wood opened, it looked welcoming and cozy. As we stopped in front of the house a young teenager ran out and stood to wait for us to get out. Finn got out of the car first and I waited for him to open my door. He came around opened it and picked me up and set me on the ground. "I'm capable of getting out a car myself," I said slightly angered. The young boy climbed into the car behind us and drove it into the garage.

"You have a valet service at your own home?" I asked. Finn didn't respond. Two men walked out of the house both as built as Finn.

"Hey! My name is James," he walked up and shook my hand, "This is Rhett," he said pointing to the man with strawberry blonde hair. I looked back at James, he wore glasses and had brown hair.

"I'm Marlo," I answered looking to see Finn's reaction the two guys. He kept his reaction guarded as always and stepped closer to Rhett and whispered something in his ear.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Marlo," James said attempting to distract me from Finn and Rhett's conversation. I nodded.

"Uh, you too," I answered.

Rhett and Finn turned back to me and James. "Rhett and James are going to take you to you're room. I hope it suffices."

I followed the two men until we stopped in front of a large set of double doors. James opened the door and gestured for me to go in first. I gasped when I walked in the floor was gray tile and there was a circular bed against the back wall, parallel to that was a large couch with a small coffee table and fireplace. The ceilings were high and there was a large chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The wall the bed was against a wall paneled with dark shiplap matching the base of the bed. "You want me to stay here?"

Rhett nodded, "Finn does."

"Just get comfortable, settle in," James said.

"Okay, thank you," I responded tentatively.

"Finn will be in to see you soon," Rhett said. I must have looked worried because James quickly quipped.

"Finn's a good guy you don't have to worry."

I nodded and they shut the door behind them.

Finn's P.O.V.

"She's human," Rhett said angrily, "Why did you take her."

"Why is she staying in your room, don't you think that's a bit straightforward?" James asked.

"I'm not sleeping in there with her. She's my mate," I said answering both questions.

Rhett looked at me dumbfounded, "She's so young!"

"I'm aware, thanks for bringing it back to my attention."

"You're twenty-seven. At this point, we weren't expecting you to have a mate," James said speaking honestly.

I sat at my desk facing towards Rhett, who was pacing, and James, who was sitting on the couch. "How are you going to hide this, you brought her to the center of the biggest Lycan civilization out there. What were you thinking?"

"I wasn't thinking," I responded.

James sat silently which was odd for him. "What are you thinking James?" I asked.

"You might need to just let her go. Hope another werewolf comes along."

I could hear my wolf growl at this, "You want me to reject her?! To not even try? Who do you think I am?"

"It's only a suggestion," Rhett pointed out.

"Out, both of you," I practically yelled. I couldn't deal with them not right now. Not today. I walked the three doors down the hall to my room where Marlo was staying.

I knocked lightly and sighed in relief when I heard her reply, "Come in!" I opened the door slowly, remembering her previous reaction when I had come in unexpected.

She was standing by the mirror in the bathroom braiding her long brown hair. "Good, we need to talk," she said confidently. I nodded agreeing with her.

"I'm sure you have questions and I'm here to answer them," I said as I walked over to the couch.

"Okay," she said finishing her hair and sitting on the other end of the couch, "I do have a few. Where am I? Really?"

"Wyoming. I wasn't lying."

"You're obviously in charge here, what is this a cult?"

"No, it's an organization of sorts," I responded, "Anything else?"

"No. I don't think so," she said. I nodded and stood to leave.

"Wait? Are you not staying in here tonight?" She asked confused when he walked to the door.

"No, I only did last night for your safety, we are back home and I don't feel the need for you to be with someone all hours of the day."

"This is not my home," she mumbled as I turned to walk out. I slammed the do behind me.

Yes, this was her home. She was exactly where she needed to be.
