Chapter 7: pick a side

Mia's p.o.v

I was peacefully sleeping when my phone rang, I looked and saw who was the caller. My heart stopped for a second, it was kol.

'Hey' I answered.

'Good morning love' kol said.

'What are you up to today?' I asked him.

'I was thinking maybe we could do something' he said.

'Sure, meet you at the grill in a bit' I told him.

'Alright see you there cutie' he said before hanging up.

I changed my clothes, and used the bathroom before going downstairs. The girls were still asleep, exhausted after their sleepover. Stefan was nowhere to be seen, this was my chance I could leave without them questioning me.

As I was making my way silently towards the door damon appeared in front of me.

'Got ya' he laughed.

'Damon! You scared me' I snapped.

'Where are you going?' He asked.

'None of your business' I shrugged as he glared at me.

'It actually is my business considering the fact you got kidnapped last time you've been out' he sassed.

'I'm just going to the grill with Matt and tyler' I said.

'You've been hanging around tyler and Matt way too much don't you think?' He questioned.

'Damon, they are my friends' I sighed.

'Just friends? Or are you seeing one of them?' He smirked.

'Ugh damon, no, bye now' I said before I walked past him and he chuckled.

I finally made it to the grill and saw kol waiting for me. I hugged him as he kissed me on the cheek.

'I missed you' he smiled showing off his beautiful dimples.

'I missed you too, although I saw you yesterday night' I laughed.

'Yeah last night was fun' he smirked. I can't. I'm dying at his accent.

I stopped day dreaming for a second when I saw Elena and damon coming inside.

'Shit' I muttered. 'Hide, now!' I told him as I dragged him to the bathroom before closing the door.

'What's wrong?' He asked.

'Elena and Damon are here' I whispered.

'So what?' He raised his eyebrows.

'If they know I'm with you they will kill me' I told him.

'And why is that?' He said amused.

'Hello? They hate your family's guts, no offense but klaus turned Elena once into his personal blood bag, almost killed Damon, forced Stefan to turn off his humanity, killed Tyler's mom-' I started as kol interrupted me.

'Okay okay I get it' he said.

'So yeah Caroline would kill me' I sighed.

'I think your sister fancies my brother' kol smirked.

'Caroline and klaus?' I scoffed.

'Yup' he bit his lip. 'Just like I fancy you' he whispered leaning in and as he was about to kiss me someone knocked on the door.

'Shit, we've been in the bathroom for a while we gotta get out of here' I muttered.

He opened the door and there was a waitress waiting to pass to the toilet.
