Chapter 8: guilty feelings

Mia's p.o.v

It was 2pm and I didn't get out of the bed. I was wearing a sweatshirt and I had two blankets on top of me and as much as Caroline tried to get me out of my bed, I refused. I was camping in this room.

Someone opened the door, it was Damon.

'Hey' he spoke.

'Hi' I said with a lazy voice, yes I stayed awake all night yesterday thinking about kol.

'Caroline told me little Forbes is sad and doesn't wanna leave the room, so tell me, who's gonna die today?' Damon asked.

'No one's gonna die damon' I rolled my eyes.

'Tell me what's up' damon said.

'It's not that important' I told him.

'Yet you look half dead' damon noted.

'Look damon I really don't wanna talk about it' I sighed.

'Don't make me compel you' he snapped.

'YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO THAT DAMON' I yelled at him. Oh I'm so done with their vampire stuff.

'Well just spit it out WHAT'S WRONG?' He yelled back.

'Damon!' Caroline suddenly came in.

'I need a walk' I told them before wearing my converse and walking past them. Ugh.

I walked around town thinking about what happened yesterday, kol saying he wasn't gonna bother me anymore. But truth is he never bothered me, I like him a lot, maybe it's just not meant to be cause he's a blood sucking vampire. But part of me was hoping I'd run into him while walking.

I went to the grill and sat on the bar.

'What can I get you?' Matt smiled.

'I'll take a glass of lemonade' I told him.

'Make that two' a thick Australian accent said behind me. I know what you're all thinking, kol, but no, it wasn't kol Mikaelson.

I turned to look at the person and I realized it was a complete stranger.

'Hello love, my name is Lucien' he said taking a seat next to me.

'Hey I'm Mia' I smiled. Ok I hate talking to strangers.

'Here's your lemonade' Matt smiled handing us the two glasses.

'Thanks' I told him.

'I'm new in town and I know no one so' Lucien said.

'Yeah well I could show you around town if you want, and you can meet my best friend Tyler' I said.

'That would be great' he said.

'How old are you by the way?' I asked him.

'22' he said.

'Oh I'm 17' I said. I noticed that Matt was about to leave the grill.

'You finished your shift early today Matty?' I asked him.

'Yeah I took permission from my boss' he started, 'didn't you hear about the party tonight?' He added.

'What party?' Lucien asked.

'April is organizing a party tonight at her place and invited the whole school' Matt said.

'Oh my god I completely forgot that it was tonight' I said.

'Do you wanna go?' Matt asked.

'Can I bring Lucien with me?' I questioned.

'I'm sure April wouldn't mind' Matt said as I looked at Lucien.

'Sure ill come' Lucien smirked.

'Can we just stop by my place so I can change my clothes?' I asked.

'Sure' Lucien said.

I went back home and luckily no one was there. I went up to my room as Lucien waited for me in the living room. The guy seemed nice and could be possibly a friend, although I'm dumb for being too friendly with a stranger, but I'm witch now, and I can take care of myself if something happens.

I wore jean shorts with a red crop top and applied some make up on my face, I let down my hair before going downstairs.

'You ready?' Lucien asked.

'Yeah' I replied.

'Then let's go' he said as we left.

Kol's p.o.v

I thought I'd be able to control my hunger for blood, but it's been getting worse. That's why I couldn't allow myself anywhere near Mia. I would never want to hurt her, she was too special. But I miss her like crazy. Maybe I could just look at her from afar, call me a Stalker, but I really needed to see her.

As I was walking down the streets I saw her friend Matt.

'Matt Donavan' I said.

'Kol' he nodded.

'You're gonna tell me where Mia is' I compelled him.

'At April's party and I'm heading there right now' Matt said.

'Forget this ever happened' I said before I vampire sped to April's house.

Mia's p.o.v

Lucien and I were doing a drinking competition and I got pretty wasted, I just don't know how he wasn't drunk at all, it's like alcohol didn't affect him at all.

'Do you wanna dance?' Lucien asked.

'Sure' I slurred before dragging him to the dance floor and we dirty danced.

'Im gonna use the bathroom' Lucien said I nodded as he left. Then I started dancing alone in the middle of the dance floor.

I then stood up on the table and I was about to trip but someone caught me. I didn't even look who it was but I passed out.
