Deserving
I am not
Of this lover
I have had
For many moons
He is tall
Like the
Pine trees
In my home
State
He smells
Of unscented
Laundry
Detergent
And a garden
He's sweet
Like honey
And I am the bear
That steals it away
My words
To him
Are bullets
That ricochet
Off my own
Selfishness
And
Strike
Unto
His
From
Different
World's
We
Are
And
From
Different
Tastes
We come
Different
Expectations
We have
Of
Love
And
Our relationship;
Unbreakable
When
Together
Is so
Easily torn
Apart
When away
And though
My lover
Is sweet
Like
Honey
I cannot
Stand
His
Company
And he
Will forever
Stand
Mine
He wishes
Of love
And to be surrounded
By his woman;
His world
And all
I wish for
Is success,
And fulfillment
Of solitude
I
Am bitter
Like
Coffee
But
If I were tea
We'd go
Together
Perfectly
