My door has gotten a lock installed so I can hide away for long times if need be. I locked my door after storming off to my room. A few minutes later I hear one knock, five knocks, two knocks, then one more. Patton. I get up from my bed where I had my head buried into my blankets and pillows.

I opened the door to reveal not Patton but Roman instead. My heart started beating quickly and I started shaking. He reached over to put a hand on my shoulder but I backed away I kept backing up until I hit the wall. I slid down and started crying. I couldn't help it I didn't want to cry but the hot tears spilled out of my eyes and wouldn't stop.

Roman closes the door and locks it. He starts walking towards me and my breathing hitches. He sits by me and grabs my hand slowly. I flinch but don't pull away. He puts it on his chest. "Can you follow my breathing?" He asks softly. I nod slowly and try to follow his berating. "Don't get upset, if you can't just take your time," He adds as I can't get it the first couple of times. I finally start breathing with him. "Very good Virge," He says wrapping his arms around me. I lean my head into the crook of his neck and continue to cry. He pets my hair shushing me and telling me it'll be okay.

Once I get completely calmed down I sit up. "Thank you," I say softly still leaning into him.

He smiles. "I'm guessing you still haven't told your dad about being homosexual?"

I shake my head. "Whenever I try he just arranges another meeting with another princess that I'll never like," I say standing up.

"Can I ask you a question?" Roman asks standing with me and I nod. "I have two. Are you mad at me for leaving and if so is that the reason you had a panic attack upon seeing me?"

I look at him and take a deep breath trying to relax. "No, I am not mad at you. The panic attack yes, was from hurt feelings from when you left," I say.

He looks down with a guilty expression. I am sorry," He says engulfing me in a hug.

I hug back weakly. "It is quite alright," I say chuckling. We pull away but still hold on to each other. I look into his eyes and can't help but smile.

He smiles back warmly. "Virgil-" He begins sighing while saying it. "I..." I smile glancing at his lips for a second. Then there was the knock. We quickly jumped back faces red. It felt like a dragon-witch was breathing fire onto my face.

I walk to the door looking away from Roman. I unlock the door and open it slowly. "Sorry to interrupt kiddos but I just wanted to say..." Patton begins looking back at Roman probably with a red face. Patton's cheery smile turns into hatred, then to a smirk. "Don't get too crazy dinner will be done soon." He says winking then walking away casually.

I close the door locking it again. "Sorry about him, he's my...best friend," I say awkwardly it was true since Roman left Patton has always been there for me. I did happen to learn it was because he was smitten for me but we talked about that and now we're just friends.

Roman nods slowly. "Oh..." He looks down then back up at me and smirks. "Must be exhausting I know it was for me."

I gasp and hit him in the arm. "If anything was exhausting it was being best friends with you. You know how hard it was keeping the secret..." I stop slapping a hand to my mouth making sure I don't let it slip.

He just laughs. "Let's head back downstairs." I nod and we start walking downstairs. The princess and her family are sitting down eating.

"Ah, Prince Virgil, " The king says standing up. "Sit down, we must discuss the marriage arrangements."

I nod sadly and sit next to the princess. "Hello Virgil, I am Princess Abigail." She puts her hand out to me and I take it and kiss it. She smiles and looks over to her father. "He is very cute." She says scooting closer to me. I start sweating profusely.

"Thank you, miss," I say my voice cracking. I look at Roman and he has this look I've never seen on his face before. It kind of seemed like jealousy. He notices my stare and smiles at me. I smile back.

"Virgil please eat," Father says turning my attention back to the discussion.

"I want to get married to him as soon as possible daddy," Abigail says sounding like a whiny toddler.

"Can we hold off for a few months?" I ask knowing if she spends more then three months with me she'll disagree with the marriage.

"Of course Prince Virgil, that'll be fine right Abigail?" Her father says politely. She nods sadly.

After dinner, I head upstairs. I get changed and I hear a knock at my door. "Come in," I call out putting my clothes away.

"Virgil! Why are you marrying that awful princess?!" Sage yells jumping on my back?

"I'm not. She'll regret her decision soon and call off the engagement." I reply calmly. "Now go get to bed, you have training tomorrow." He rolls his eyes but walks out towards his room.

I blow out my candle and lay down covering up. I slowly drift off to sleep replaying all the events from today.
