It's been a few months since I killed my father and I've had a coronation and was officially the king. I was in the process of changing the rules.
I was walking through the marketplace hand in hand with Roman. I wanted to enjoy it but all I could hear were the disapproval of the townsfolk.
"He's so gross."
"I can't believe he chose to be homosexual."
"Why can't he just simply be straight?"
I hear all these hurtful things people are saying even though they think they are being sneaky and quiet. I snap when someone says the next thing.
"Why can't he be more like his father? He was a respectable man better than this homo."
I spin around looking for the person who said that. I feel my face heating up in anger. "What?!" I scream. "You think my father would be better than me as king?! Let me clear some stuff up! He was a controlling, manipulative, deceitful piece of shit, if he's better than me I must be a fucking nightmare!" I scream at no one in particular.
The townsfolk look terrified. "King, what do you mean? We are very happy to have you as our king. You're much better than your father," James a young baker says.
"Oh no I know that but I heard someone say he's for respectable than me, who said that?" I ask calming down a little. Roman squeezes my hand trying to make me back down.
"I didn't," I hear a voice say. I look at the person that owns the voice and it's none other than Snake. Snake is a liar he was cursed by the dragon-witch to only speak in lies. We call him snake because he won't tell us his real name and snake suits a liar don't you think?
I smile at him. "Did you say everything I heard?" I ask curiously.
"Yes," He says and I sigh.
"Very well, good day everyone," I say walking back to the castle having enough social interaction for one day.
"King! Thank the gods you're here! It's time to sign the papers for the approval," Patton says smiling as we come through the door. I smile at him letting go of Roman's hand and walking into the council hall.
"We have all read over the agreement and signed it now it is your turn King," A noble says to me. I nod grabbing a quill and looking over the agreement.
It is now I hereby allow that anyone of the royal family can marry someone of the same sex and someone that's a commoner.

King VirgilI smile at the thought of me and Roman getting married. "Thank you, everyone," I state simply leaving the room. I smile at Roman and run up to him. "It is done!" I exclaim kissing him quickly.
"Finally," He says smiling at me. He takes my hand and leads me outdoor. "I have to show you something." He stops before we get too far. "Oh yeah put this on!" He says handing me a blindfold. I hesitantly put it on and he leads me on.
A few minutes later we stop at our I destination I presume. "Okay," He begins he nervously clears his throat. "Virgil I've known you your whole life. I met you the day you were born. I held you before your grandparents did. You were such a cute baby and I guess that cuteness never really went away," He says clearing his throat again. "I grew to love you, I mean you're not that hard to love but I later realized that love I grew was not platonic love it was romantic. I told you my feelings five years ago before I left you. I never regretted something as much as that in my life."
I start getting nervous. "What's going on Roman? Why can't I take this off?" I ask getting anxious.
"Let me finish," He says quickly. "Virgil those five years I hated, I missed you so much, I don't know what'd I do without you. So..." He walks towards me and unblindfolds me. "Will you marry me?" He asks while he's on one knee holding out a ring box. I look around surveying my surroundings. We were at the outside of our treehouse. The place was surrounded by purple and red rose petals. There were candles radiating those same colors. It was quite beautiful. I start crying. "Oh don't cry Virgil, I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked you," He says wrapping me in his arms awkwardly.
"No, you moron!" I yell at him. "You should have! I love you so much! This is beautiful," I say hugging him.
"So is that a yes?" He asks smiling slightly.
"Yes!" I say laughing at him.
