Casmoke Rossanic was born to an omega family. They loved her with all their hearts, more so than would have been imagined of the titles they bore. Luckily the Rossanic's had come to live in a peaceful and prosperous pack of strong werewolves. The pack was also very kind to the mated couple, never beating on them as other wolf-packs thought proper.

As omega's, they lacked the personality and strengths that would be required to raise their exceptionally gifted daughter. She was a true alpha. Someone with the ability, charisma, and spunk it would take to stand at the side of her mate one day. So Casmoke was raised like any other werewolf, and the titles of omega slowly melted away from her parents' shoulders.

Nevertheless, there were, as expected, those who thought of true alphas as inferior alphas as their dominance did not come from a superior bloodline. Thus, Casmoke was raised unaware that she was an alpha at all. Due to this, she was able to make friends, be scolded properly by her elders, and learn to live without the weight of responsibilities upon her shoulders.

When it came to shifting, she never questioned as to why she was on the unusually larger side. Only the alpha's male pup larger than she, of those their age. It was just a circumstance with nothing particularly significant about it. That's the way it was to be.

Now, she naturally faced tragedy much too early for what many would call manageable. At twelve years old rouges attacked, her father was caught up in the crossfire as he stalled for his precious mate and daughter to reach the safe house.

Unbeknownst to any others, Casmoke has witnessed the slaughter of her father. Afterward, she suffered from both PTSD and her triggered manic depression. She then had to watch as her mother slowly slipped away from life, as she struggled to hold on to the half of her soul that still breathed. Yet, all too soon she was struck by a disease that a normal wolf would have been able to fight off, but she was weakened and an omega, so it took her away only two years after.

Four years after her mother's death she was of mating age but wanted no such thing. She didn't want to forcibly be killed off by nature after her mate went and heroically committed suicided for her. Like how stupid could male weres get? If they died it didn't matter if they had protected their love. Wouldn't it be better if they die together, their dying moments complete?

She was also had managed through most of her mental disarray as the alpha wolf that existed within her grew in strength. The packhouse was chaotic this year, and although it was her eighteenth birthday, the bustle was not for her. No, there was a meet-and-greet for all unmated of age wolves between their pack and another pack. The date of her birth could not have worse, or better, timing. Of course, time would tell which would become true.

As the door of her room flew open dramatically Casmoke was broken out of her self imposed dread. Forcing herself to become regal looking in under a second.
