As time passes I'm becoming weaker. Not only is being away from the pack draining be but the blood loss from both Kαlαssε bleeding me out and from the occasional throwing up of blood is getting to me. At least they're cleaning up the blood and bile before they feed me.

Inside of my consciousness I can feel a pull on the mate bond. Obviously Zev is trying to push though to me. It will never work. Not with us having an uncompleted mated bond. However, I can tell that he is getting closer, if only slightly.

There's a grate behind me that lets in light between the morning til just after noon. It lets in the cold night temperatures, while keeping out any warmth that the sun could be bringing me. Sometimes the morning breeze is warm with a smell of the ocean. I am quite easy as it turns out. I've only once before been to the ocean, it was while I accompanied Leon and his father to a meeting. The meeting was on the edge of two packs that both bordered the sea.

Just like with humans it used to be important for packs to border the oceans because that was important for imports and having access to the other packs. The only old inland pack is ours, as it has a strategic location. It has access to food, protection, and has always been along a major transportation route that runs from the east to west coast. It was separated from the other packs for a long time but their survival is evident by still being powerful today.

The door creaks open and one of the white women come in. This is the third time I have seen her now. She comes in once every three days. I'm not sure why she is coming but she seems intrigued by me.

"Hello again," I say politely.

She nods to me and delicately sits in the chair that's before me. "Hello wolf," she responds.

"How are you today?" I ask. The room is plunged into darkness as a cloud covers the sun. In each corner of the room a light flickers on. They're warm lights, both in color and temperature. They come on during the day when it's dark from a pack of sunlight. They're likely the reason I've yet to freeze to death.

"I am not doing well today," she answers. I tilt my head, asking her to continue. "Kαlαssε is upset because she is not getting the results she was expecting."

"The experiments using my blood?" I inquire. They've not told be directly about the experimentation, however I'm able to hear them anyways. They're not exactly discreet when conversing and I can often hear them talking even when they're being hushed.

He eyes widen and then she smiles with a nod, saying, "Yes, smart wolf. Do you know why your blood is not working?"

"Let Kαlαssε know that I'm not a born Alpha. I was born Omega. Moon Goddess blessed me to be this way," I answer. "If what she needs is the true blood of an alpha, she's got it all wrong. She doesn't need a true alpha, but someone born alpha."

She blinks at me rapidly and then shoots up from the chair. She scurries out of the room and I listen in as she starts talking quickly to Kαlαssε. A few seconds later Kαlαssε barges in, throwing the chair to the side, violently.

"Hello Kαlαssε," I say, amused. "So you don't need a true alpha after all, do you?"

"Don't mock me," Kαlαssε spits out. "I am not χαζος. You are just an ignorant λύκος. I know what I am doing, αυτό που υποθέτετε είναι λάθος."

"Calm down dearest, I meant no harm. I was just offering up my point of view. True Alpha's are fundamentally different from born ones. Something that I understand not because I am a wolf, but because I've lived a life where I was born Omega and then given Alpha status by the Moon Goddess," I say, attempting to persuade her.
